Velador and Tsoupras Chop It

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action went three-ways to a flop of 52Q in a hand between Georgios Tsoupras in the cutoff, Jianqiang Yu on the button, and Julian Velador in the big blind.

With about 200,000 in the middle, Velador moved all in for 105,000 and was called by both of his opponents.

Tsoupras and Yu checked it down as the board ran out 3, 9. Velador tabled Q976 and Tsoupras turned over Q1098 with both of them having two pair, queens and nines. Yu had AA9J.

Cheung Bangs on Brannan Again

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

James Cheung and Frank Brannan have battled a couple of times today, with Cheung getting the best of it in a big pot earlier.

This time we grab the action with Brannan making a pot-sized raise of 324,000 chips on a full board reading Q76104.

Cheung spent a long time considering his options, stacking and restacking his chips, until finally he made the call.

"You got it," Brannan said, before even seeing the cards.

Brannan showed K1095 for just a pair of tens. Cheung had 10865 for an eight-high straight.

It was a crushing blow to Brannan, who had only 72,000 chips after the hand.

Demirel Cracks Aces to Double Up

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Tolga Demirel raised to 42,000 on the button and Frank Brannan three-bet to 132,000 in the big blind. Demirel then four-bet jammed for 214,00 total to put himself at risk and Brannan quickly called.

Tolga Demirel: AK97 All in
Frank Brannan: AA108

Demirel pulled ahead on the J5K flop with the nut flush. The 7 turn and 6 river offered no help to Brannan and the pot was pushed Demirel's way.

Movement Among Chip Leaders

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Dylan Weisman has had the biggest jump of the day, more than doubling his stack through the first level and a half of play.

Conversely, John Riordan, the chip leader entering the day, has lost half of his.

Zhen Chen, second in chips coming in, is down nearly 1,000,000 from his overnight total. He lost much of it to a full house in this hand. Benny Zhen, who was third, has gained just a tad.

Wong Avoids Knockout

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Danny Wong waited until the clock was called before pushing his final couple chips into a threeway, with two all-in pot. His pause was for a potential pay jump if others were eliminated before him. Turns out the wait was unecessary.

Eric Pfenning: KK62All in
Danny Wong: AQQ10All in
Juan Caridad: AQJ10

The runout of 768JJ favored Wong, who landed an ace-high flush on the flop to take the main pot. Caridads jack-high flush was good enough to snare the side pot, and eliminate Pfenning.
