Action was picked up on the turn with the board reading 5♦3♣J♥Q♣ with a pot of about 75,000. Ian Crampton was in the big blind and put in a stack of chips enough to put Senthuran Vijayaratnam all-in for 81,000. Vijayaratnam decided to make the call.
Senthuran Vijayaratnam: A♥8♥
Ian Crampton: 9♠9♣
The river 9♦ only sealed the deal for Crampton, who made a set for the win.
Siarhei Chudapal raised from early position to 17,000 and was called in the next seat over by Kilo Krahn.
The table folded around to Daniel Ivers on the button, who chose to go all in for 58,000. Chudapal folded, but Krahn would not do the same as he called to put Ivers at risk.
Daniel Ivers: K♣Q♣
Kilo Krahn: K♦J♠
Ivers' hand improved to a flush when the board ran out 3♦4♣7♣10♣3♣ to score the double.
Two-time bracelet winner Barry Shulman has creeped onto the leaderboard, and is currently 12th in chips. Shulman is the lone WSOP champions among the chip leaders.
Kevin Ostenberg nursed 30,000 chips for so long, it seemed his chip stack might never grow. Then he went all in against Velupillai Kalahmohan and Jennifer Breckenridge.
Kevin Ostenberg: A♥Q♣
Velupillai Kalahmohan: K♦K♣
Jennifer Breckenridge: J♣J♠
The flop told the story right away, and the full runout A♦5♦6♦2♣9♥ gave him the top pair, aces, and a main pot that gave him more chips than he has had in 10 hours of play. Kalahmohan took the side pot, which was about half Ostenberg's take.
A few of her tablemates were chatting, and one of them stated, "She's got the gas; that's why she has so many chips." Lisa Childers is on fire; this Las Vegas resident always makes her presence known at the World Series of Poker.
This tournament is part of her schedule, and she appreciates the charity aspect, as her Grandfather and many of her relatives have served their time. However, she is torn, feeling guilty about being away from her family during Father's Day. After the series is over, she will be giving them plenty of visiting time, and her family understands this.
Childer's favorite tournaments coming up are the Ladies Event and the Mini Main, both of which have an excellent format.
Childers has just begun studying and taking courses on the mental aspect of the game, as well as the theory portion, but she likes to have fun at the table.
Childers just finished 135th in the Colussus and has been winning up a storm at many ladies' events.
Xavier Silva Pena raised to 10,000 from late position, Scott Bunn moved all in for 74,000 from the cutoff, and Mark Baxter called all in with the shortest stack for 40,000. Pena called both shoves.
Mark Baxter: 9♥9♣
Scott Bunn: A♥A♣
Xavier Silva Pena: A♦Q♦
The board ran well for the aces with J♦4♣4♥7♦3♠, and two pair was golden for Bunn, Baxter was eliminated, and Pena went into short stack mode.
