Kempton Takes it Down with River Bet

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

A hand broke out between three players when Isaac Kempton raised to 9,000 from early position and was called by Scott Bohlman in the next seat over. Dan Shak came along with a call from the big blind to take three players to the flop.

Both Shak and Kempton checked the 2♥3♥8♦ flop, and Bohlman responded with a bet of 20,000. Shak folded, and Kempton called to trim the hand down to two people.

Both Kempton and Bohlman checked the 6♣ turn, which brought the 4♠ river.

Kempton led out 25,000 on the river. Bohlman thought about it, but decided on a fold to award Kempton the pot.

Wang Doubles Through Hrabec

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The hand began with an open to 7,000 from the hijack by David Wang. Roman Hrabec re-raised to 25,000 in the cutoff, which led to a call by Wang to send the two to a flop.

Both players checked the 9♦2♣8♣ flop.

When the 8♠ turn peeled off Wang checked, and Hrabec chose to bet 16,000. Wang responded by going all-in and Hrabec called after using two time banks.

The Q♣ peeled off on the river and Wang showed A♦Q♠8♦7♠ for a rivered full house to scoop the pot.

Heritsch flopped two pair and had a few backdoor options to improve his hand even more, whilst Ausmus had an overpair and a flush draw.

The 9♦ on the turn gave Ausmus also outs for a possible straight, but the 8♠ on the river completed the straight for Heritsch, and he doubled up.

Both players checked through the flop, Q♥ turn, and the 5♣ river. Van Hoof showed A♠A♥K♥2♥ for over pair, which seemed enough for Daniel as his cards found quickly the muck.
