Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Cliff Josephy
Cliff Josephy

Thomas Taylor opened to 70,000 in early position and Cliff Josephy moved all in for his last 100,000 on the button. Dylan Smith called from the big blind and Taylor came along as well.

The flop came J103 and both players checked to the 4 on the turn. Smith checked again and Taylor fired out a bet of 50,000 which got Smith to fold.

Cliff Josephy: KK22All in
Thomas Taylor: 9852

Taylor turned a flush and had Josephy drawing dead to the A on the river. Josephy exited the tournament without any needles from Ben Lamb who he passed by. The rest of the 74 players are now guaranteed at least $50,205 of the prizepool.

Deeb Soft Bubbles

Level 17 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Daniel Geeng opened the hijack to 50,000 before seeing a three-bet from Shaun Deeb in the small blind. Deeb had raised to 170,000, which was a large portion of his remaining stack.

Geeng called, and the pair saw a J29 flop. Deeb then used all his remaining time banks in order and try and squeeze in the money, should he lose the hand. After a few minutes, Deeb moved all but one of his chips into the middle, leaving a 5,000 chip behind. Geeng raised to commit Deeb, who waited his allotted 30 seconds before calling.

Shaun Deeb: AQ109 All in
Daniel Geeng: AJ72

Geeng had flopped two pair and currently had the lead.

The turn 6 was no help to Deeb, and the river 10 confirmed that he would not be making the money of this tournament, and he headed to the exit.

Walking Chips or No Chips at All?

Level 17 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Josh Arieh already had his backpack on when he raised to 70,000 from under the gun. Roman Hrabec reraised on the button and Arieh splashed in the last of his 20,000 chips.

Roman Hrabec: AQ106

The board ran out Q93J6 and Hrabec made two pair to eliminate Arieh near the money.

"Yo, Josh! The tournament is over this way!" Ben Lamb shouted as Arieh was leaving the tournament area.

"I've got walking chips!" Arieh spouted back.

Mosley Can't Fill Up

Level 16 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Philip Sternheimer
Philip Sternheimer

After a limp from Dominique Mosley and Eelis Parssinen, Najeem Ajez raised to 88,000 in the small blind. Philip Sternheimer called from the big blind, and both limpers came along too.

The four players saw a 5107 flop, and when Ajez checked, Sternheimer took over the betting lead to the tune of 125,000. Action was now on Mosley, who moved all in for 188,000. Parssinen folded, but both Ajez and Sternheimer made the call.

The turn brought the 6, and Ajez didn't hang around for someone else to bet, sliding in a full pot-sized bet himself. Before the dealer had time to figure out how much that was, Sternheimer had folded, and the remaining two players revealed their cards.

Dominique Mosley: 101055 All in
Najeem Ajez: 9876

Mosley had flopped bottom set, but Ajez had taken the lead on the turn, now having a straight.

The river A was no help to Mosley, who needed the board to pair, and as the huge pot was pushed towards Ajez, Mosley headed toward the exit.

Jouhkimainen Gets a Christmas Gift

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The action folded around to Jonathan Azoulay in the small blind who just limped in. Joni Jouhkimainen raised it up from the big blind and Azoulay ripped all in for his last 66,000. Jouhkimainen quickly called and the cards were face up.

Jonathan Azoulay: J1055All in
Joni Jouhkimainen: AAK8

The flop came A76 and Jouhkimainen all but locked up the pot with a set of aces. The 7 on the turn and the 7 on the river spelled the end for Azoulay who departed.

"Christmas in June for Joni," Martin Kabrhel said to his neighbor.

Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

On the last hand before the break, Martin Kabrhel and David Peters were heads-up on a flop of 954. Kabrhel led out with a bet in the small blind and Peters ripped all in for around 70,000.

"Media! Where's the media?!" Kabrhel exclaimed. "It's time to say goodbye to David. Revenge of the Sith!" Kabrhel eventually called and the cards were tabled.

David Peters: A987All in
Martin Kabrhel: QQ44

"Queen!" Kabrhel shouted even though he was already in the lead. The J and 3 completed the board and Kabrhel's set of fours was good enough to eliminate Peters.

Beach Bops Le

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Allan Le opened the hand with a raise to 30,000 from early position. Harrison Beach jammed for 77,000 in the next seat over and had Le covered. Le committed the rest of his stack to be at risk.

Jeremy Ausmus
Jeremy Ausmus

Juha Helppi raised pot under the gun, which is 21,000 at this blind level. Jeremy Ausmus made the call from the big blind.

The flop was 876 and Ausmus decided to lead for 20,000. Helppi decided to put in a raise to 100,000. Ausmus then repotted, and Helppi quickly called.

Juha Helppi: KK77 All in
Jeremy Ausmus: J1087

Helppi had the best hand on the flop, but the turn 8 gave Ausmus a full house that was better than the Finn's, and the 9 on the river confirmed the pot for Ausmus.

Shak Hits The Rail

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Eric Wasserson kicked the action off with a limp from under the gun. Dan Shak followed suit, limping one seat to his left. Dylan Weisman put an end to the limping, raising to 33,000, and when action folded back to the limpers, they both called.

When the dealer revealed a flop of 8Q9, Wasserson and Shak maneuvered their stacks into the middle, and Weisman returned his cards to the dealer.

Eric Wasserson: A10107

The turn 5 kept Shak in the lead, but the river 6 gave Wasserson the checkmark, rivering a higher straight.

Tell Your Friends

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Scott Bohlman
Scott Bohlman

Picking up the action on the flop with the board reading A76, Scott Bohlman had a bet of 50,000 in front of him. Fabian Riebau-Schmithals check-raised to 225,000 and Bohlman jammed all in. Riebau-Schmithals called off his stack of 292,000 and the cards were tabled.

Fabian Riebau-Schmithals: Q1098All in
Scott Bohlman: KJ107

Both players had a flush draw but it was Riebau-Schmithals who made a straight on the 8 turn card. However, the 2 completed the board and Bohlman made the best flush to eliminate Riebau-Schmithals.

After a brief discussion, it was determined that three other players in the hand all had clubs as well, leaving just a single club left in the deck for Bohlman to hit on the river.

"It's my year," Bohlman piped up, who has already won a WSOP bracelet this summer. "Tell your friends."
