Herring Suffers Savage Beating

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The prospect of getting knocked out on the bubble didn't discourage John Herring from raising to 12,000 preflop, then going all in to call Christopher Savage's 92,000-chip three-bet.

John Herring: AAAll in
Christopher Savage: JJ

In the runout 1043J3 brought bad news on the turn and worse on the river, with Savage hitting a jack for a set, then a full house to crack Herring's aces.

"I'm sorry," Savage said. "That sucks."
