The board 8♣A♥7♠4♦6♣ was already dealt with Michael Oar holding A♠3♥ for a pair of aces while Kaifan Wang had K♠9♦ in front of him, and Oar doubled his remaining stack worth around 650,000.
Dominic Brugno raised to 500,000 in early position and Pablo Melogno three-bet to 1,375,000 in the cutoff. Brugno tanked a minute and shoved for 7,025,000, which was snap-called by Melogno:
Dominic Brugno: A♣K♣
Pablo Melogno: K♦K♥
Brugno was in terrible shape for his tournament's life but managed to hit a board 10♠J♦A♥10♣4♣ to get a big double.
Yuan Yu opened to 500,000 under the gun and was called by Kaifan Wang on the button. Joshua Reichard had other plans and shoved all in for around 5,000,000, sending Yu to the tank. After a few moments, Yu called, and Wang folded, getting out of the way of showdown.
Joshua Reichard: K♥Q♣
Yuan Yu: J♠J♣
Already in the lead, Yu's hand improved to a set when the flop fell A♠7♦J♦. Reichard still had hope of turning things as he also caught himself a gutshot straight draw. The turn 5♠ didn't change anything, but the river 10♦ completed Reichard's straight, evoking an invective from Yu.
Frustrated, Yu stood up, absolutely shocked with the suck-out as the dealer pushed the pot towards Reichard, leaving Yu with only 100,000 behind.
Alejandro Ganivet opened to 500,000 from middle position and got a single call from Jesse Yaginuma in the big blind.
The J♥K♥7♦ flop was checked by Yaginuma and Ganivet bet 600,000. Yaginuma called.
Yaginuma check-called after Ganivet bet 750,000 on the 10♠ turn.
Yaginuma bet out the majority of his remaining 3,500,000 stack, leaving just 125,000 behind. Ganivet quickly mucked his hand, and Yaginuma got an early chip up.
Zdenek Zizka raised in the cutoff to 500,000 and Michael Oar shoved his last 850,000 on the button. Bruno Fuentes tanked and reshoved and Zizka snap-folded:
Michael Oar: K♠Q♣
Bruno Fuentes: 7♠7♦
Oar didn't find any help throughout a board J♦8x2x3♦Ax and made his way to the payout desk.
Anze Smajd was already all in from the cutoff and up against Manuel Pochat in the small blind. The cards were already face up and Pochat was at risk for his 6,925,000 stack.
Manuel Pochat: 10♠10♦
Anze Smajd: K♦K♣
Pochat was behind, but got lucky on the 6♥J♣10♣5♠3♦ runout, as he landed a set of tens to double.
Mark Wagstaff opened to 600,000 in middle position and got a three-bet to 1,700,000 from Bruno Fuentes in hijack. Wagstaff thought about his options before making the call to see the flop.
The flop came J♠K♣2♠. After action was passed, Fuentes kept the heat up with a 950,000 bet. Wagstaff, once again, mulled over the situation before making the call.
The turn 2♥ made Wagstaff take some time to think of his next move but decided to check once again. Cranking up the heat, Fuentes fired 1,200,000 into the pot which was enough to make Wagstaff fold.
