Yu Defeated with Another Suck-Out

Level 32 : Blinds 100,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Yuan Yu open-jammed his remaining 950,000 under the gun and got one caller in Bruno Fuentes in the hijack. Action folded around, leaving the two players to head to showdown.

Yuan Yu: A10 All in
Bruno Fuentes: QJ

Despite being ahead, Yu looked resigned to whatever the board may bring. The dealer displayed 2910, strengthening Yu's lead with a pair. However, Fuentes caught an open-ended straight draw. The turn 6 didn't change anything, but Fuentes completed his straight on the K river, taking the lead.

Yu looking defeated, being outdrawn once again, let out a heavy sigh and bid everyone good luck as he left the table.

Karl Pineault
Karl Pineault

The board already read J2810 with a nice pot around 2,400,000 when Karl Pineault checked to Richard Alati who bet 1,100,000. After some thinking, Pineault eventually called.

The 3 hit the river and Pineault checked again. Alati fired 1,925,000 in the middle, sending Pineault deep into the tank. Pineault ended up calling the clock on himself, and folded at the end of the countdown. Alati grabbed the pot without showing his cards.

Ganivet Loses Some Chips

Level 33 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

As the action has slowed down considerably, all the players are focused on making the next pay jump. Alejandro Ganivet raised to 600,000 in middle position and after some thinking, Thomas Macdonald announced a raise to 3,300,000 on the button. It came back to Ganivet, who folded.

The next hand, Ganivet raised again to 600,000 and Carlos Leiva shoved in the small blind. Ganivet folded.

Boyton Doubles

Level 33 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Luke Boynton shoved around 3,100,000, leaving behind one 25,000-chip, in middle position. Action folded around to Ignacio Moron on the button. Sitting behind a huge stack of chips he announced all in. Action went back to Boynton, and said he couldn't tank because of the floor's general warning against slow play due to the pay jump.

He threw in the last chip for a call to bring both him and Moron to showdown.

Luke Boynton: 1010 All in
Ignacio Moron: AK

Boynton's tens held on the board of 72J5 and just to seal the deal, the river 10 fell giving him a set. Boyton scooped the pot for a much-needed double.

Ortega Sends Smajd Home on the River

Level 33 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Jacques Ortega
Jacques Ortega

Players were still stalling on the pay jump. Jacques Ortega three-bet to 1,850,000 after there was a 975,000 open. Anze Smajd was in the small blind and moved in the majority of his 4,500,000 stack, leaving just 750,000 behind. Action folded back around to Ortega and he moved all in. Smajd made the call.

Anze Smajd: KKAll in
Jacques Ortega: JJ

It was looking likely that Smajd would double after he held on the 683 flop, and Q turn.

The tables turned, however, as the dealer placed the J river, giving Ortega a set of jacks, busting Smajd.
