Cartwright Goes For Thin Value

John Evans raised in the hijack and Aaron Kupin called on the button. In the big blind Clinton Cartwright raised and both Evans and Kupin called.

Cartwright stood pat on the first draw while Evans and Kupin drew one and Cartwright bet to receive two quick calls.

On the second draw, Cartwright stood pat again and both of his opponents drew one. This time when Cartwright bet, only Kupin came along.

"I'll go for thin value," Cartwright said after he stood pat, Kupin drew one, and he put out a bet. Kupin looked at his final card and went into the tank before electing to call.

"Ten," said Cartwright as he turned over 1053A for a ten badugi which was good against Kupin's Q42A.

Thomas Muehlocker raised from first position and Scott Bohlman called in the small blind which Junhyoung Ki calling in the big blind.

Both Bohlman and Ki drew two while Muehlocker drew one and action checked around to Muehlocker who bet and received two callers.

Bohlman drew two while both of his opponents drew one and Bohlman bet which prompted Ki to raise. Muehlocker folded and Bohlman clicked it back which Ki called.

The final draw saw Bohlman pat and bet dark while Ki drew one and then called.

Ki tabled 8x5x4x3x2x for eight perfect which was enough to best Bohlman's Kx7x6x6x2x and he raked in the pot.

Tom McCormick opened from the under the gun, Frank Menendez called from the cutoff and Stephen O'Dwyer three-bet from the small blind. McCormick four-bet, Menendez folded and O'Dwyer called. Both players drew one.

After the first draw O'Dwyer bet, McCormick raised and O'Dwyer called, drawing one while McCormick stood pat.

O'Dwyer check-called a bet from McCormick after the second draw and drew one more while McCormick stood pat again.

With no draws remaining McCormick bet, leaving just a few chips behind. O'Dwyer folded and McCormick took down a nice pot without showdown.
