Noah Schwartz and Cary Katz were in the blinds and had gathered 100,000 in the middle when the A♥3♣Q♥ flop was dealt. Katz's remaining 170,000 was then also pushed in, with Schwartz putting him at risk.

Joao Simao limped in from early position. Michael Moncek called from the cutoff, Veselin Karakitukov called from the small blind and Erik Seidel checked his option.

The flop was 9♦9♥8♠. Action checked to Simao, who bet 35,000. Only Moncek called.

Both players checked on the 6♦, then on the 6♠ river, Simao bet 85,000. Moncek tossed in the call. Simao showed K♥J♠9♣7♥ for trip nines, and that won him the pot.
