De Jonge Flops Trips, Sagra Has Bad Timing

Ignacio Sagra limped in with J♣9♦ and Sebastiaan de Jonge checked Q♦5♣.

The flop came 5♠5♦4♣ and De Jonge led out for 1,200,000 with trips, and Sagra floated with his jack-high.

An A♣ hit the turn and a bet of 4,000,000 from De Jonge should have got the job done, but Sagra came with a raise to 8,500,000. De Jonge then shoved for 25,200,000, and Sagra quickly folded.

The chips have been passed around in circles as each of them have taken their turn to steal the blinds. Most recently, Sebastiaan de Jonge made it 2,400,000 on the button with 10♦9♦ and managed to get it through.

Ignacio Sagra then raised to 2,400,000 on the Hakeem Mashal shoved 3,800,000 from the small blind. De Jonge called in the big blind, and Sagra also called.

The flop came 2♣Q♠8♠ and De Jonge led out for 4,000,000. Sagra quickly folded his J♦10♣.

De Jonge had flopped top pair and didn't want to taky any chances and let his opponent catch up. An A♥ on the turn left Mashal one card away from the rail, and the 5♥ meant he was out in third.

In the first hand back from break, Srivinay Irrinki shoved from under the gun with K♠Q♠ and picked up the precious blinds and antes.

In the next hand, Sebastiaan de Jonge then looked down at A♠A♥ and min-raised to 2,400,000. Unfortunately for him, nobody gave him action.

De Jonge then made it 2,400,000 from under the gun with K♠J♦ and again picked up the pot.

Looking down at K♣J♥, Ignacio Sagra raised from the cutoff to 2,000,000, and Sebastiaan de Jonge made the call from the big blind holding K♥Q♦.

In what was the 44th hand of the day, the first flop the players have seen that hasn't been down to an all-in preflop.

The flop came down 8♣A♦10♣, and when de Jonge checked, Sagra continued for 1,500,000. This was also the first post-flop bet of the day. De Jonge made the call, and the players moved on to a turn.

The 4♦ added a second flush draw to the board, but when Sagra continued the aggression with a bet of 2,800,000, De Jonge returned his cards to the dealer.

After over 40 hands on the final table, there still hadn't been a flop with betting action still open.

That trend continued as Sebastiaan de Jonge shoved the button with A♦10♣ and picked up the blinds.

In the very next hand, De Jonge shoved from under the gun and Ignacio Sagra called for 11,100,000 on the button. Hakeem Mashal had A♠J♥ in the big blind and elected to fold.
