Boivin Doubles Without an All-In

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Thomas Boivin

Andjelko Andrejevic kicked off the action from under the gun with a raise to 160,000. Arnaud Enselme in the cutoff made it 480,000. Thomas Boivin was sitting in the small blind when he four-bet to 1,075,000, leaving himself just 5,000 behind.

With the action back to Andrejevic he took his time before he folded. Enselme made sure he understood the raise correctly, went into the tank, but then made the call.

Both players checked through the J39 flop, the 4 turn, and the 3. Enselme waited for a long time on the river before checking back.

The dealer announced a showdown, and Boivin tabled AQ for ace-high, which seemed enough for Enselme, as his cards found the muck.

Mendoza Goes Back-to-Back on Gierse

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

James Mendoza was down to just 315,000 and pushed all in on the button. Marius Gierse from the small blind and the cards were tabled. Mendoza flipped over 1010 and was in good shape against the A10 of Gierse.

The board ran out JJ558 and Mendoza held on to double up.

Just a few hands later, Mendoza was all in again for around 700,000 and Gierse was his opponent.

James Mendoza: JJAll in
Marius Gierse: 1010

Mendoza was looking good for another double and the K42 flop left it that way. The 5 on the turn and the J on the river was helpful for Mendoza who doubled up once more.
