The action was picked up on a board of 8♦3♣A♠8♥ with 1,650,000 in the pot. Robert Ashelm in the small blind bet 950,000, Matthew Zambanini on the button raised all-in and Ashelm called, being the player at risk for a total of 1,800,000.
Robert Ashelm: A♦J♥
Matthew Zambanini: A♥10♦
Ashelm was one card away from a double up but the cruel 10♠ river gave two pair to Zambanini, eliminating Ashelm in 14th place for $49,539.
Thomas Muehloecker kicked things off with a raise to 160,000 in the cutoff. Marius Gierse on the button called.
Both players checked the 3♦A♦2♦ flop and the 7♦ turn.
On the 4♦ river, Muehloecker led out a bet of 390,000. Gierse took a brief moment before raising to 1,200,000. Muehloecker went into the tank, and after four minutes, he decided to fold and give up the pot.
The action folded to Andjelko Andrejevic who made it 160,000 on the button. Matthew Zambanini three-bet to 525,000 in the small blind and Andrejevic four-bet shoved all in for 2,755,000.
Zambanini asked for a count and spent a couple of minutes in the tank. He counted out the chips to call and then slid them back into his stack as he threw his cards away.
Action folded to Arnaud Enselme in the cutoff, and he raised to 600,000, leaving himself just 90,000 behind. Nicholas Grippo responded by moving all in from the small blind, and after the big blind folded, Enselme quickly called off the rest.
Arnaud Enselme: 9♠8♠
Nicholas Grippo: A♠10♣
Enselme needed some help from the board, and the 6♣7♥4♦ flop gave him a straight draw and some hope. The 4♣ turn changed nothing, and the A♥ on the river sealed it for Grippo with top pair, sending Enselme to the rail.
Arnaud Enselme opened for 375,000 from under the gun. Renji Mao in the big blind raised all in and Enselme called off his last 10,000.
Arnaud Enselme: A♦8♥
Renji Mao: Q♣9♣
Mao flopped a pair on 9♦2♦10♥. He was even more in the lead after the 6♣ turn, but Enselme couldn't hide his joy when the A♠ river landed on the felt to allow him to double up.
Mustapha Kanit opened to 160,000 from under the gun and was called by Andjelko Andrejevic on his left and Niall Farrell in the big blind. The flop came A♠9♠5♠ and Kanit continued with a bet of 130,000. Andrejevic called and Farrell got out of the way.
The turn was the K♥ and Kanit put together another bet of 340,000. Andrejevic still called and the 8♥ landed on the river. Kanit checked this time and Andrejevic pushed out a bet of 1,030,000, leaving just a single chip behind. Kanit thought for a moment but then dumped his cards into the muck.
Brandon Sheils kicked things off with a button-raise to 160,000. Thomas Muehloecker in the small blind made the call. Erwann Pecheux was sitting in the big blind and decided to go all in.
With the action back to Sheils, he checked Muehloecker's stack before announcing his all-in. Muehloecke went out of the way, leading to a showdown.
Erwann Pecheux: A♦5♦
Brandon Sheils: Q♣Q♠
The board ran out clean for Sheils with 5♣3♥10♣J♦4♣, and Pecheux was sent packing.
Srikanth Yadlapati opened to 160,000 from the hijack but Mustapha Kanit on the button three-bet to 480,000.
Yadlapati called and checked the 4♥9♦9♥ flop. Kanit continued for 280,000, and it took more than two minutes for Yadlapati to call.
When the A♣ turn appeared on the board however, Yadlapati immediately moved all in for 1,415,000. Kanit asked for the count and called.
Srikanth Yadlapati: A♦5♦
Mustapha Kanit: A♠Q♠
Both players had two pair but Kanit had a better kicker. The 4♦ completed the board and Yadlapati was eliminated.
Nazar Buhaiov raised it up from the hijack and Thomas Muehloecker defended from the big blind. The flop came Q♦8♥3♣ and Muehloecker check-called a bet from Buhaiov.
The turn brought the 9♥ and Muehloecker checked again. Buhaiov counted out a bet of 360,000 and Muehloecker check-raised all in as the big stack. Buhaiov called off an additional 885,000 and the cards were tabled.
Nazar Buhaiov: K♥Q♠
Thomas Muehloecker: 9♣8♦
Muehloecker turned two pair for the best hand and Buhaiov was unable to come from behind on the 7♣ river.
