Gamble vs. Turner

Level 16

On the bubble, Jon Turner raised from under the gun and Nathan Gamble three-bet in late position. Turner called and drew three, Gamble drew one. Turner check-called a bet before drawing another three, while Gamble went pat.

Turner check-called one more bet and drew one on the final draw, after which both players checked.

"Nine," Gamble announced.

"Fifty-fifty," Turner said as he flashed the 10x.

Hand for Hand

With 97 players remaining and 96 getting paid, the tournament director has just announced that hand-for-hand play will commence until the money bubble has burst.

Everyone who makes it out on the other end will take home a minimum of $3,004 for their efforts.

Up and Down, But Mostly Up for Deeb

Yegor Tsurikov raised and Shaun Deeb defended his big blind.

Both players drew one. Deeb bet and Tsurikov called. Deeb stood pat and Tsurikov drew one.

Deeb bet and Tsurikov quickly folded. Deeb opened 10x8x7x6x5x and chipped up.

A few hands later, Deeb opened and was three-bet by Victor Xu. Deeb called. Xu drew one and bet, while Deeb drew two and called.

Xu then stood pat and Deeb drew two. Deeb folded to a bet. Both Deeb and Xu have chipped up considerably over the course of the first level of the day.

Two for Finne

Level 16

Timothy Finne raised in the cutoff, defending champion Aaron Cummings three-bet on the button, and Finne called. Finne drew one and Cummings stood pat right off the bat.

Finne check-called a bet from Cummings before standing pat himself, sending Cummings into the tank. He ended up breaking his pat to change one card. Finne bet and Cummings folded with a sigh.

A few hands later, Finne three-bet on the button after a raise from Thomas Fuller to his right. Fuller called and drew two while Finne patted. Fuller check-called a bet from Finne.

Fuller took one on the second draw and Finne stayed pat, followed by two checks. Fuller drew one card on the final draw and Finne remained pat.

Fuller bet and Finne called. Fuller announced an eight and showed Number Seventeen 8x7x6x5x2x, appearing confident it was good, but Finne pipped him with 8x7x6x4x3x for a Number Sixteen.

Seventy-Six for Blum

Level 16

John Hutchinson raised form the hijack and was called by Daniel Blum on the button for a heads-up pot.

Both players drew two on the first draw and then Blum called a bet from Hutchinson.

On the second draw, both players reduced their draw to one and Hutchinson check-called a bet from Blum.

Hutchinson drew one and Blum stood pat on the final draw. Hutchinson then check-called a bet from Blum, who announced "Seven" as he tabled 7x6x5x4x2x. Hutchinson mucked and Blum was sent the pot.

Bukowski Busts to Glendinning

Level 16

Dariusz Bukowski was all-in and at risk against Jonathan Glendinning.

Bukowski drew two and Glendinning drew three. Bukowski drew one and again, Glendinning drew three.

Both players drew one on the end.

"Do you want me to go first?" asked Glendinning.

"I don't care," replied Bukowski.

Jonathan Glendinning: 9x8x4x2x

Glendinning went first and showed a 5x to complete his nine. Bukowski was live, but drew a Jx and was eliminated.

Burzaco Gets Some Much Needed Chips

Level 16

David Mead raised from the small blind and Alejandro Burzaco called in the big blind.

Both players drew two and then checked on the first draw.

On the second draw, Mead and Burzaco requested two again. Burzaco then called a bet from Mead.

Mead drew two and Burzaco stood pat on the final down and both players went back to checking.

Mead motioned that Burzaco was good and Burzaco fanned out Jx7x6x4x3x. Mead couldn't beat it and collected the pot.

Schulz Eliminated by Brown

Level 16

Andrew Brown opened and was immediately three-bet by Sebastian Schulz in the next position. It folded back to Brown who re-raised. Schulz called and was all in.

Both players drew one on the first draw. Brown's new card was accidentally exposed as a Jx and the floor was called to double check the ruling. The floor instructed that the Jx be shuffled back into the stub and Brown issued a new card.

"Watch me receive the same card!" said Brown. On the second draw he stood pat, while Schulz drew one. The draws repeated on the final draw and Brown tabled 8x7x6x4x2x

Schulz was live with 8x5x3x2x but drew a Kx and was eliminated.

Leung's Nine is Good

Level 16

Wilson Leung raised on the button and was called by Andres Korn in the big blind.

Both players drew one on the first draw and then Leung called a bet from Korn.

On the second and third draw, both players drew one and checked down.

"I have a nine," Leung announced.

"It's good," Korn replied — prompting Leung to tabled 9x8x7x6x3x.

Korn showed he had draw to a pair by revealing 2x2x before sending his cards into the muck.
