Fan Favourite Gets the Double... And Then Some

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Michael Lancaster
Michael Lancaster

Michael Lancaster, or as his newfound fans call him, "Mikey," had action on the button. As he has done so many times at this final table, he turned to the rail, hyped them up, before shoving for 1,910,000. Kelvin Kerber of Team Kerber peeled his cards in the big blind.

Michael Lancaster: J10 All in
Kelvin Kerber: AQ

The 79J flop put Mikey far in the lead with a pair and a gutshot. The 10 turn eliminated all of Kerber's pair outs, but gave him more in the form of an open ended straight draw. The Q was good for Mikey, as he stood up out of his chair and circled the table while pointing to the ground. Chants of "Let's go Mikey!" echoed through the Horseshoe Events Centre.

Just a few hands later, Mikey was facing a raise to 700,000 from the small blind. Once again, he rallied up the crowd before shoving. The shove got through, to even more cheers.

Team Hannan Eliminated in 5th Place ($46,784)

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
David Sathue
David Sathue

David Sathue of Team Hannan raised to 1,000,000 in the cutoff, leaving himself around 170,000 behind. When it got to Kelvin Kerber of Team Kerber in the big blind, he shoved, and Sathue called off the rest.

David Sathue: 55 All in
Kelvin Kerber: A4

Sathue was in great shape to double up, and remained in the lead through the 326 flop. A brutal 5 on the turn gave Sathue a set, but also improved Kerber to a straight.

Sathue needed the board to pair to stay alive, but the Q river was of no help, meaning Team Hannan were out in fifth.

Mahmouki Wins a Flip

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Hicham Mahmouki
Hicham Mahmouki

David Sathue of Team Hannan made it 400,000 to go from under the gun and Hicham Mahmouki of Team Boujmala three-bet shoved almost 3,600,000. When it got back to Sathue, he called.

Hicham Mahmouki: KQ All in
David Sathue: 1010

It was an all-too-familiar coinflip, and one that seemed to be going Mahmouki's way after he paired his king on the K9A flop. No tens revealed themselves on either the 8 turn or 5 river, and Mahmouki doubled up to some immense volume from his rail.

Kelvin Kerber of Team Kerber raised the button to 325,000 and Kyeongrim Shin of Team Shin called out of the big blind.

A 3 on the turn was checked through to the 7 river, where Shin led out for 450,000. Kerber took around a minute before he moved all in, which gave Shin a decision for the 1,600,000 he had behind. Around two minutes passed before Shin finally dropped in calling chips.

Kerber then showed a flush with K9, and Shin disappointedly flipped K7, meaning he was out in sixth.
