Kerber Puts Stark to the Test

Level 30 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Derek Stark of Team Lancaster opened to 325,000 from the cutoff and Kelvin Kerber of Team Kerber called in the small blind. Dominic Coombe of Team Mccartney was in the big blind and also called.

The flop came 57Q, which checked to Stark, who fired 350,000. Kerber raised to 700,000, Coombe folded, and Stark called.

Both checked the 8 turn to the K river, where Kerber shoved. Stark had around 2,300,000 behind and needed around two minutes before he eventually decided to fold.

Coombe Doesn't Fire the Third Bullet

Level 30 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Dominic Coombe of Team Mccartney opened from under the gun to 325,000 and Kelvin Kerber of Team Kerber called from the big blind.

The flop came K59 and Kerber check-called a bet of 260,000 from Coombe. When the 2 landed on the turn, Kerber again check-called after Coombe bet 700,000.

A 2 paired the paired the board on the river and Kerber checked for a third time, and after some consideration, Coombe checked back.

Kerber then revealed a pair of kings with K6, and Coombe mucked.

"Would you fold if I shoved river?" Coombe asked Kerber after the hand. "I wasn't decided yet," he responded.

Sathue Flops Huge

Level 30 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Action folded around to David Sathue of Team Hannan, who open-raised to 2,000,000, leaving just 20,000 behind. Quirin Heinz of Team Heinz then reshoved from the button, and the blinds folded. Sathur called for his tournament life.

The J105 fired Sathue into the lead, however he still had to fade a queen or a king. The dealer placed out the 5 and the 10 to complete the runout, and give Sathue a huge double. "Never in doubt," he said to his rail.

Lancaster was way behind, but had the rail's support as they were cheering for an ace. They got what they wanted on the KA2 flop as Lancaster made top pair to take the lead.

Nothing changed on the K4 runout, and Lancaster earned his team a double-up just as he tagged out for Derek Stark to come in.

The action folded to Quirin Heinz of Team Heinz on the button, and he shoved into the two smaller stacks on his left. The small blind folded, and after Hicham Mahmouki of Team Boujmala looked at his cards, he snap-called for his stack of 1,760,000.

Mahmouki's rail erupted in song before the board was even dealt, confident their guy would double up. Their wish came true as the 7KJ910 board didn't alter the outcome, meaning Mahmouki scored a double-up.

Lancaster Works The Crowd

Level 30 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Michael Lancaster of Team Lancaster utilised a min-raise from the cutoff, and his only caller was Dominic Coombe of Team Mccartney, who defended his big blind.

On a flop of 7810 Coombe checked his option, and for the fourth time in the last couple of orbits, Lancaster shoved and saw a fold. As has become his trademark, he punched the air with his fist, which received yet another chorus of cheers from the rail of Team Boujmala

Coombe Getting Busy

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Dominic Coombe of Team Mccartney was involved in three of the past four hands, which resulted in a small loss to his stack.

In the first hand, Coombe opened the cutoff to 250,000 and Quirin Heinz of Team Heinz defended his big blind.

The action checked to the turn on 95JA, where Heinz check-called a bet of 120,000 from Coombe.

When the 2 hit the river, both tapped the table and Heinz took the pot holding A8 for a pair of aces.

Shortly after that, Coombe made it 250,000 from the middle position and David Sathue of Team Hannan three-bet to 575,000. Coombe folded.

Then, Coombe raised to 250,000 from under the gun and took down the pot as everybody else folded.
