Two players saw a flop of 4♥10♣6♣ on which Thijs Hilberts of Team Hilberts got it in for his remaining 340,000. Josep Lopez of Team Lopez was right there with.
Thijs Hilberts: A♥A♦
Josep Lopez: K♣8♣
The turn brought an insane sweat, as the 8♠ improved Lopez to having both trip outs and two pair outs, as well as his flopped flush draw. Hilberts managed to fade everything on the 6♦ river, as he celebrated with teammate Tom Verbruggen
Louis Seguin of Team Seguin raised to 60,000 from under the gun and Conor Hannan of Team Hannan shoved all in for 390,000 in middle position. Back on Seguin, he called it off.
Conor Hannan: A♠K♠
Louis Seguin: A♦Q♠
The board ran out 6♠5♠3♦5♥9♥ and Hannan celebrated the double-up.
Day 3 of Event #65: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em gets underway today at 11 a.m. when 31 teams will return to Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas to fight for a share of the $1,208,240 prize pool that accrued following a total of 1,373 teams buying in to this event.
Each team has already secured a score of $5,376. That being said, the first prize of $184,780 will certainly be within the sights of every team that’s left, with some more poised to take the crown than others. Team Heinz (2,175,000), consisting of Quirin Heinz and Felix Rabas, is currently leading. Close behind are Yijhen Ke and Kuanhan Lee of Team Lee (1,760,000), followed by Matthew Lambrecht and Jack Nathan of Team Lambrecht (1,690,000).
Yijhen Ke
Day 1 chip leaders Louis Seguin and teammate Hugo Blacher are still in the mix, having dropped down to eighth on the leaderboard, but won’t be deterred as they look to regain their chip lead.
A team looking to improve on a previous performance is Team Kerstetter, made up of Jamie Kerstetter and Corey Paggeot, who were defeated heads up at the hands of champions Patrick Leonard and Espen Jørstad back in 2022. The pair are on yet another deep run, but will they be able to go one better?
