Eslami and Ausmus Take Out Smith

Level 14
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

No Limit 2-7 Single Draw

On the last hand of No Limit 2-7 Single Draw, Dan Smith raised to 25,000 from the cutoff and was called by Ali Eslami from the buttom. Smith drew one while Eslami stood pat.

After receiving his draw, Smith bet 100,000 leaving 17,000 behind. Eslami thought briefly before calling.

"Pair," announced Smith, who was reduced to crumbs after Eslami tabled 9x7x5x4x3x.

Stud Hi-Lo

On the first hand of Stud Hi-Lo, Smith paid his ante and was then the bring-in, meaning he was left with 5,000.

Jeremy Ausmus completed and the action folded back to Smith who put in the last of his chips.

Dan Smith: Q10 / 5K44 / Xx All in
Jeremy Ausmus: 87 / 8236 / 6

Ausmus started with split eights and ended up making eights and sixes after he received all of his cards.

Smith had just a pair of fours, and had no chance of making a low. He needed king, queen, ten or four to stay alive but the A was not what he wanted to see and marked the end of his tournament.

Justin Liberto raised to 42,000 in the hijack and Albert Daher called on the button as Bryce Yockey came along from the small blind.

Yockey checked on the flop of K3A and Liberto continued for 63,000. Both opponents called. Yockey and Liberto then checked on the 8 turn and Daher bet 265,000. Yockey check-jammed for slightly more and Liberto folded as Daher called.

Bryce Yockey: AQ104 All in
Albert Daher: AK74

Yockey had run into two pair and couldn't hit his flush as the 10 improved Daher to a flush of his own to send Yockey to the rail.
