Hellmuth Erupts

Level 16
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Limit Hold'em

Phil Hellmuth lost a Limit Hold'em pot against Justin Liberto and proceeded to go off on his opponent.

"Ten-five, nice f***ing call. I'm never calling in a million years. I came to win. But you won the max! Congratulations. You came into the day ... firing every hand ... These idiots just give their money away. It's so frustrating."

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

After switching games, Hellmuth raised to 30,000 on the button and a new enemy, Albert Daher, raised to 180,000. Hellmuth called. Daher stood pat and Hellmuth drew one.

Both players then checked and Daher showed Jx10x8x7x5x to beat out the 8x8x7x4x3x of Hellmuth, who was left with crumbs and exploded into another tirade.

"180 with jack-ten," Hellmuth said as he took a lap. "180 with jack-ten. One f***ing eighty with jack-ten. Jesus f***ing Christ."

The Poker Brat wasn't done.

"I know I'm rich and famous. I have all the money. But what the f*** are these f***ing cards? What the f***. These f***ing players, I mean they've f***ed up so many hands I've just sat here and shut my mouth. Wow!"

Vitch Takes Last Pot Before Redraw

Level 16

With Chris Brewer's departure, the floor instructed the dealers to finish the hands they were on to then do the three table redraw.

Christopher Vitch limped in from the cutoff. Erick Lindgren called in the small blind and Matthew Ashton checked his option from the big blind.

Lindgren led out for 25,000 on the 743 flop and was called in both spots.

On the 4 turn, Lindgren checked. Ashton bet 45,000 and Vitch was the only called.

Ashton then check-folded to a bet of 200,000 on the A river after spending several minutes in the tank

Level 16

2-7 Triple Draw

Chris Brewer raised from the hijack and Jon Kyte three-bet from the cutoff. Benny Glaser four-bet from the button and both players called.

On first draw, Brewer and Kyte took two, while Glaser took one. The action checked to the latter, who bet. Brewer called before Kyte raised. The Norwegian was called by both opponents.

All three drew one on second draw and Brewer led out with a bet. Kyte and Glaser stuck around.

Brewer stood pat, with Kyte and Glaser drawing one each.

Brewer bet. Kyte called and Glaser folded.

Brewer tabled 7x6x5x4x2x for a seven-six. After Kyte saw the hand, he revealed 7x6x5x3x2x, pipping Brewer to the pot with a better seven-six. Brewer showed signs of frustration after being outdrawn.

"Dead, back from the dead, dead, back from the dead," Matusow reeled off, commenting on Kyte's swingy session.

"And he gave the Casino Royale slowroll as well," said Brewer, who had a thousand-yard stare on his face.
