Wantman Left With Short Stack After River Call

Level 34 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 0 ante

Matthew Wantman raised on the button to 50,000 and Mike Shi called.

Shi check-called a 40,000 bet from Wantman on the Q108 flop.

The two checked on the 3 turn. When the K fell on the river, Shi bet 120,000 and Wantman called. Shi flipped over the K9 for a rivered top pair and it was good enough to win him this pot. Wantman is now left fighting for his tournament life.

Chen with the Double Double

Level 34 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 0 ante
David Chen
David Chen

David Chen found himself very short-stacked in his heads-up battle with Richard Green, but he hasn't thrown in the towel.

Chen found his first double-up when his A8 held versus Green's 107 on the 78Q43 board.

A few hands later, Chen was all in and at risk again.

David Chen: KJ All in
Richard Green: A7

The match will continue as the 6J6K3 board kept Chen's hopes alive.

Martin Kabrhel

Martin Kabrhel has a shot to win his fourth World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet on Saturday, and that could anger some poker fans. But the high-stakes pro seems to enjoy playing the villain role. His table mates, however, aren't so entertained by his antics.

Kabrhel, at the time of publishing, was nearing the final table in Event #5: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha. He entered the day with the chip lead, and he's chasing the $620,696 first place prize.

Another Double for Green

Level 33 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Richard Green raised to 40,000 on the button and David Chen three-bet to 150,000 in the big blind. Green four-bet shoved all in for 548,000 and Chen snapped him off.

Richard Green: 88All in
David Chen: AQ

It turned out to be a coin flip and the flop of J72 left Green in the lead with the lone pair. Chen picked up some outs on the K turn card but the 6 on the river bricked out. Green doubled up into a massive lead, leaving Chen with just a few big blinds.

Green Doubles Into a Big Lead

Level 32 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

David Chen raised to 32,000 on the button and Richard Green ripped all in for 455,000 in the big blind. Chen quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Richard Green: K10All in

Chen held a big preflop advantage but the flop of 1082 gave Green a pair of tens and the lead. The 5 on the turn and the 7 on the river changed nothing, giving Green a double up and a big chip lead.
