Ladies Event Day 2 Begins at Noon Featuring Many Familiar Faces
The 319 players still in contention for Event #70: $1,000 Ladies No-Limit Hold'em Championship will return to the tables at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas, at noon to battle through ten more intense levels of poker before bagging up.
Dorothy Ecaldre enters Day 2 as the chip leader with 297,500 and is hoping to notch her first deep run in the Ladies Event. Close behind are several formidable opponents, including Jill Bowen with 271,500 and defending champion Shiina Okamoto holding 251,000. Jill Pike, runner-up in the 2018 edition, starts the day with the same 251,000 stack.
A total of 1,368 entered this always popular event, generating a prize pool of $1,203,840. The 206 players surviving the bubble today will be guaranteed $2,001, while the new champion will collect $184,094 along with a WSOP gold bracelet.
As usual, the event attracted many notable players. Some WSOP champions are also still in the hunt for a second bracelet with Susan Faber (205,200), Safiya Umerova (146,000), Leo Margets (139,000), 2023 Ladies Event Champion Tamar Abraham (132,500) and Marsha Wolak( 122,000).

Cards will be in the air at 12 p.m. local time as Level 11 begins, with blinds set at 1,000/2,000 and a 2,000 big blind ante. Players are expected to complete ten 60-minute levels, taking 15-minute breaks after every two levels. A 60-minute dinner break will follow Level 16, at approximately 6:30 p.m.
