The board read 8♥3♣8♦A♣ when Shannon Stangis checked in the big blind and Maria Konnikova bet 6,000 on the button. Stangis made the call.

The river was the 5♦ and after another check from Stangis, Konnikova bet 15,000, with just a few chips behind. Stangis announced all in and Konnikova snap-called with J♦9♥, but Stangis took down the pot with 9♠8♣ for trips. Konnikova announced she was going to reenter the event.

The flop read 7♥4♥3♦ in a raised pot when Jill Hoelting checked from the blinds before calling a bet worth 3,200 from Wendy Cordiner in the cutoff.

On the 8♥ turn, Hoelting led out for 5,000. Cordiner announced all in, putting Hoelting at risk. After some thinking, Hoelting mucked her cards.

Izzi instantly turned the tables when she spiked a pair on the flop 6♥J♥9♦. The turn 10♠ maintained her lead but also gave Howard a gutshot straight draw. The river 8♠ completed Howard's straight. Howard scooped the pot for a double.

Oyama Takes the Pot with One Card Flush

Aoi Oyama opened for 1,600 in middle position and got called by big blind player Tammy Wing. Both players saw the flop drop 4♦5♠2♠.

They checked all the way through the turn A♠. Wing checked the river J♠ prompting Oyama to bet 1,600. Wing called and tabled J♥J♣. Oyama showed K♦K♠.

Thinking she won the pot with a set of jacks, Wing scooped the pot pushed toward her, but Oyama stopped her before she added it to her chips. Oyama informed her that she won with a one card flush and Wing graciously let go of the chips for Oyama to take.
