Vongxaiburana Doubles Through Rolli

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Veerachai Vongxaiburana
Veerachai Vongxaiburana

By the time the flop showed 832 and Veerachai Vongxaiburana had bet 8,000 to then face a pot-sized raise to 44,500 by Fabian Rolli, all other players that may have been involved prior to that were gone. Vongxaiburana was deep in the tank and eventually got his chips in, Rolli called with the covering stack.

Veerachai Vongxaiburana: AA63 All in
Fabian Rolli: QJ87

The 4 turn and 9 river gave both players a flush and Vongxaiburana doubled for 87,000.

"It was worth a try," the Swiss player shrugged in table chat.

Lamb & Lehr Play an Unusual Hand

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

Ben Lamb bet 16,000 on a flop of 96J and Keith Lehr called from the next seat.

Lamb bet 1,500 on the 10 with just 1,100 behind. Lehr called and turned over his hand of AQQ3 for a pair of queens.

With Lehr's hand still on show, the 7 came on the river, and Lehr put Lamb all-in out of turn, much to the amusement of Lamb and the table. Eventually, Lamb decided to bet his last 1,100, which Lehr called.

Lamb laughed and said, "That's good.", at which point Lehr grabbed Lamb's cards and began to try to wrestle them out of his hand. Lamb eventually turned over 6542 for a rivered flush to pull in the pot.

Lehr, Lamb, and their tablemates all saw the funny side of the whole encounter, especially the slow roll.

Faroni Can't Shake Noda

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

John Holley raised to 2,000 in early position and was called by Hiroyuki Noda in the hijack and Abraham Faroni in the big blind. The flop came J96 and the action checked to the 7 on the turn.

Faroni led out with a bet of 5,000 which got Holley to fold but Noda stuck around for the A on the river. Faroni tossed in another bet of 12,000 and Noda looked him up. Faroni tabled Q443 for just a pair of fours while Noda held Q885 for a straight.

Kyte Nearly Triples Up; Buonocore Busts

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jon Kyte
Jon Kyte

On a flop of J106, the stacks of three players went into the middle and Bryan Buonocore was the shortest of them up against Jon Kyte and Brynjar Gigja.

Bryan Buonocore: KJ103 All in
Jon Kyte: JJ77 All in
Brynjar Gigja: AQ98

Gigja had a lot of equity to knock out two players but it was Kyte who came out on top thanks to the 8 turn and 6 river runout, as he improved to a full house. Buonocore was eliminated while Kyte doubled for more than 35,000 against Gigja.

Li Doubles Through Knapp

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Several players limped in and Rene Knapp then bumped it up to 5,500. The first limper Chaoxing Li pushed all in and it folded back to Knapp, who called.

Chaoxing Li: KQ87 All in
Rene Knapp: AKQ4

The inferior hand failed to catch any help on the 962 flop and J turn but the 8 river gave Li the double for 10,600 with his pair of eights.

Arieh's Tournament Comes to an End

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Josh Arieh checked from the small blind on a flop of 3QJ and Young Sik Eum bet 5,000 from under the gun. Arieh check-raised to 21,000, which Eum called.

The 3 dropped on the turn and Arieh jammed for roughly 38,000. Eum called to put Arieh at risk.

Josh Arieh: KQJ4 All in
Young Sik Eum: AA82

Arieh's two pair on the flop had been counterfeited, and Eum had the better flush draw. Arieh couldn't find the help he needed on the 7 river, and he wished everyone good luck as he headed for the exit.

Sly Folds to Culyer's Raise

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Christopher Sly raised it to 3,000 from the hijack and only Michael Culyer defended out of the big blind.

Culyer knuckled the action over to sly on the A56 flop. Culyer bet 2,000, and was met by a check-raise to 12,000 from Culyer. Sly instantly folded and surrendered the pot to Culyer.
