Four Fours On Board

Level 4 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Joni Jouhkimainen limped under the gun, Chris Hunichen limped in the cutoff, Veselin Karakitukov completed from the small blind, and Gruffudd Pugh-Jones checked his option.

The flop came 1044, and action checked to Jouhkimainen. He bet 8,000. Only Pugh-Jones called.

The turn was the 4, and both players checked. The river eliminated the possibility of either player having quads, because it was the 4. Both players checked. Pugh-Jones showed KKJ8, and his full house won him the pot.

Venkat Chivukula was already all-in and at risk by the time the flop showed 765 on which [Removed:548] in the big blind check-called a bet worth 65,000 by Bryce Yockey in the cutoff. That led them to the J turn on which [Removed:549] check-called the all-in of Yockey.

Venkat Chivukula: A10106 All in
Bryce Yockey: KK97 All in
[Removed:548]: AKJ6

[Removed:549] had a strong lead over both opponents with two pair and the spades nut flush draw. The river was the 3 and that knocked out Chivukula as well as Yockey.

Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu has had a stellar 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) and "Kid Poker" isn't slowing down. Negreanu just reached his fifth final table of the summer in Event #76: $2,500 Mixed Big Bet.

Negreanu entered the third and final day of the Mixed Big Bet event with 83 big blinds, good to be tied second in chips with Marco Johnson and within reach of chip leader Aaron Kupin. He held onto those chips throughout the first hour of play and now finds himself at the final table again second in chips.

Robert Mclaughlin's seventh-place elimination confirmed Negreanu's spot at the official final table as he chases an eighth bracelet.

The tournament drew 458 runners for a prize pool of $1,019,050. The eventual winner will receive $206,982, while each of the seven remaining players are guaranteed a payout of $22,311.

Davies Doubles Through Chivukula When Both Have Aces

Level 4 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Seth Davies
Seth Davies

From the blinds, Seth Davies and Venkat Chivukula got into a pot of over one million preflop with Davies being all-in and at risk.

Seth Davies: AA82 All in
Venkat Chivukula: AA75

Both had aces, so it looked likely to be a chop pot. However, the 625 flop gave both players something that might win them the whole pot. The 2 turn improved Davies to trip deuces and only a five on the river could help Chivukula. The 7 fell on the river and Davies won the pot, while Chivukula was left with crumbs.

Andrejevic Eliminated by Dam

Level 4 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Andjelko Andrejevic
Andjelko Andrejevic

With 140,000 in the middle to the Q86 flop in a battle of the blinds, Martin Dam checked and Andjelko Andrejevic checked back as they headed to the A on the turn. Dam checked again and Andrejevic now bet the pot.

Dam glanced over to see the stack of his table neighbour before he moved all in and Andrejevic instantly called.

Andjelko Andrejevic: AAJ5 All in
Martin Dam: QQ75

Dam's flopped set was trailing against the turned set of Andrejevic but the Dane also had a straight draw on top. That one indeed came with the 4 river and Andrejevic was sent to the rail.
