Three Premium Hands...Can the Best One Win?
There was a three-way all in on Table 440 where all of the chips got in the middle preflop and all three players turned over premium pocket pairs. Casey Carroll was the short stack with 17,400 and Alan Sanchez was at risk for 19,900, while Nicolas Tartaglia had both players covered.
Casey Carroll: A♠A♦
Alan Sanchez: J♥J♣
Nicolas Tartaglia: Q♥Q♣
The flop came A♥J♠4♠ to give Carroll a set of aces but he still had a sweat with Sanchez picking up a set of jacks. However, the A♣ on the turn improved Carroll to quads and his two opponents were drawing dead to the 4♥ on the river.
Carroll earned himself a triple up while Sanchez took down the small side pot. No players were eliminated on this hand but Sanchez was seen leaving the tournament area just moments later.
