Avdee Goes Too Thin on the River

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

On a board of K28, both Michael Avdee and Kajetan Renke put in 12,000 each to see the 5 turn, where both checked.

The river brought a J and after just a few seconds, Avdee fired 12,000 from early position. Renke was in the cutoff and called within a second.

The call was so fast the Avdee was unaware it had even been made, but once the dealer confirmed it, Avdee flipped AJ for a rivered pair of jacks. Renke had that beat with his K7 for a pair kings, and he scooped the pot
