McNeil's Main Event Comes to an End

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Murly Manokharan made it 1,000 under the gun. John McNeil was next to act, and he tossed in the 4,100 he had remaining. Michael Troutt called on the button, and Manokharan let his hand go.

John McNeil: A6 All in
Michael Troutt: 1010

The K89K9 remained free of aces, and McNeil said his goodbyes before he was sent to the rail.

It's Not Fine For Garcia

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The action was picked up when Angel Garcia on the button was already all in and at risk for 12,500 on 1088J against Damon Fine in the big blind.

Angel Garcia: J10 All in
Damon Fine: 87

Garcia hit two pair on the turn but Fine already flopped trips. The 7 river completed the board and Garcia was eliminated.

Petrov Flushes Waxman Out

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Matthew Waxman
Matthew Waxman

Heads-up on a flop of 639 with a bit over 10,000 already in the middle, Mikhail Petrov checked from under the gun to Matt Waxman, who bet 5,000 on the button. Petrov responded with a check-raise to 10,700 and Waxman paused before clicking it back to 16,000 and change.

Petrov shoved and Waxman called all in for less to put himself at risk.

Matt Waxman: AAAll in
Mikhail Petrov: AQ

Waxman had the best of it with his aces, but the 4 turn immediately completed Petrov's flush draw and left Waxman drawing dead.

An irrelevant Q river made Waxman's elimination official and Petrov grew his stack to 230,000.

Yukako Hiroi moved all in from early position, for roughly 9,000. Action folded to Damian Gibbs in the big blind, who made the call.

Yukako Hiroi: AQ All in
Damian Gibbs: 77

Hiroi was left with an impossible task on the 792, as she was now drawing dead.

As the dealer was dealing the 4 turn and the 5 river, Hiroi was already gathering her belongings to leave.

Zeidman Turns Off Light

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

On a board of 7K95 with 24,000 in the main pot, 36,000 in the side pot and Roscoe Light already all-in, Robert Zeidman checked the 7 river and Thad Mcnulty checked back, so all three players' cards went on their backs.

Roscoe Light: KJ All in
Robert Zeidman: AK
Thad Mcnulty: 108

Light was at risk with two pair, but Zeidman had a better kicker and won the pot against Mcnulty's missed draws. "I didn't cash a single tournament this summer," Light said before leaving the tournament area.

Paul Hizer

Nicholas Go opened to 1,600 from middle position and Paul Hizer raised on the button. Go jammed for his remaining 16,500 and Hizer snap called.

Nicholas Go: AQAll in
Paul Hizer: AK

Go needed to improve but missed on the 8104 flop, and the 6 turn didn't change much either. The K river just improved Hizer more, sending Go home.

Matusow on the Right Side of a Massive Cooler

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

Mike Matusow and Thomas Lee went heads-up to the river on a completed board of 42310K. According to Matusow, Lee had bet "really small" on the flop, then 3,500 on the turn from the hijack as Matusow called in the small blind.

Lee bet another 9,000 on the river and Matusow raised enough to put Lee all in. Lee called for 25,000 more with K8 for a flush, but Matusow had A5 for the nut flush to score the knockout.
