Under the gun player, Ryuta Nakai, checked to John Volpendesta in the cutoff, who placed a bet of 10,000. Nakai's response was one of total pressure, moving all in, covering his opponent.

Volpendesta looked a tortured soul while deciding what to do, but reluctantly abandoned his chips already in the middle by returning his cards to the dealer.
