Three's a Crowd

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Joao Pinto raised in early position to 1,300 and picked up calls from Lindsey McDougall, one seat to his left, and Junichi Kato in the big blind.

Action checked to McDougall on the J2Q flop, and she placed a bet of 1,500. Both her opponents called, and it was still three to the turn.

All three players checked the 4 turn, but Kato put in a bet of 5,500 on the 4 river. Pinto folded, and McDougall called.

Kato turned over KQ, which was only good enough for half the pot as McDougall flipped over KQ, for the same hand.

The dealer apportioned the pot, and Pinto's invested chips were split between his two opponents.

"You Don't Know Who I Am!"

Bin Weng
Bin Weng

“You’ve just missed one of the craziest hands on a Day 1,” a player at Table #479 told PokerNews. According to him, with help from others at the table, Scott Kahler opened from the cutoff and Bin Weng three-bet to 6,000 from the small blind.

Weng checked the 764 flop and Kahler bet 4,500. Weng called, then check-called again for 21,000 on the 4 turn.

After Weng checked the A river, Kahler moved all-in for roughly 120,000. Weng tanked for a long time before making the call and say: “You guys don’t know who I am!”

What stunned his tablemates was that Weng called with 73 for two pair. But it turned out to be the right call, as Kahler only held KxJ. He was eliminated and quickly left the room.

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Daemon Richardson under the gun and Nicholas Schuler in the adjacent seat were heads up in a three-bet pot. Richardson checked to Schuler, who bet 3,000. Richardson tossed in a call, after which both players checked the Q turn.

"I'm glad PokerNews wasn't here to witness my massive punt earlier," Schuler stated as the K river was dealt.

"They should call you 'Duster'. All you've done since you've sat down here is dust it off," Antonius Samuel added, which received some laughter from the table, including Schuler.

Richardson had checked in the meantime, prompting Schuler to toss in 10,000 chips. Richardson made a quick fold, and Schuler took down the pot.
