Choi Tangles With Echols

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Yoon Choi made it 1,500 to go from early position, with Richard Gress calling from the cutoff, and Gabriel Abusada calling out of the small blind. Daniel Echols squeezed to 9,000 from the big blind, which only Choi called.

Heads-up to the 2AK flop, where Echols started with a check. Choi tossed out 2,500, and Echols quickly called.

Echols checked again upon seeing the 9 roll off on the turn. Choi bet 25,000, which resulted in a snap-fold from Echols.

Blenkarn Turns Broadway to Leave Pearl Steaming

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Dylan Kahn opened to 1,400 from under the gun and was three-bet to 4,200 by Jeffrey Blenkarn from directly behind. Kim Wittendorff called cold from middle position, Richard Pearl called cold from the small blind, and Kahn called as well for a hefty four-way pot.

Everyone checked on the Q2J flop and it was checked again to Blenkarn, who bet 7,200. Wittendorf and Kahn folded, but Pearl called.

The 8 completed the board and Pearl checked a final time, prompting a 7,600 bet from Blenkarn.

Pearl snap-called and Blenkarn tabled AK for Broadway.

Pearl showed he held QQ for a flopped set of queens before sending them into muck.

"You had four outs....four outs," Pearl fumed as Blenkarn collected the pot.

Bechtel Scores Double KO With Ducks

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

James Bechtel had put in 7,000 preflop, after which Brian Borst moved all in for 19,500. William Zgorski went in over the top for 20,200, and Bechtel asked for both stacks to be counted before committing a call.

Brian Borst: AQ All in
William Zgorski: KK All in
James Bechtel: 22

The entire table was left stunned as the 5782 turn made Bechtel a set. The A river did not change anything, and Borst and Zgorski silently left the table.

Fireworks Outside, Rockets Inside

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Francois Billard raised from under the gun to 1,400, which the small blind, Michael Thach, called. Joseph Bishop wanted to play for more, though, and put in a three-bet to 4,500. Both his opponents called, and the three went to a flop.

Bishop fired out another 10,000 on the 748 flop, and only Thach made the call.

Thach checked for a second time on the 8 turn, and Bishop immediately put another bet into the middle, this time for 25,000.

A suspicious Thach took his time before he decided to wait for a better spot. His neighbour didn't keep him in suspense, though, confirming he had the goods by turning over AA.

Katz Drills the River to Double Through Lyubovetskiy

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Heads-up on a board of 9Q26 with a large pot already in the middle, Itay Katz checked from the big blind and Andriy Lyubovetskiy bet enough to put Katz all in for his last 24,000 from middle position.

Katz looked pained, but committed his stack into the middle and hands were revealed.

Itay Katz: Q10All in
Andriy Lyubovetskiy: AA

As suspected, Katz found himself in rough shape against Lyubovetskiy's rockets, but the 10 river improved Katz to two pair for a crucial double-up.

Jeffrey Tanouye raised from the hijack to 1,400 and was met by a three-bet to 4,200 from Marte Sandberg, on the button. The action folded back to Tanouye, who made the call.

The dealer spread a 795 flop, which Tanouye checked, in flow. Sandberg continued with a bet of 1,400, and Tanouye made the call.

Tanouye then decided to take over the betting on the 6 turn, leading into his opponent for 5,000. Sandberg wasn't standing for it, though, putting in a raise to 12,000, which again, Tanouye called.

The river 4 saw Tanouye check and Sandberg snap check back.

Tanouye rolled over 1010 for an overpair, but Sandberg revealed the river had come to her rescue, as her K3 had improved to a straight.
