Action was picked on the turn with Peter Froehlich all in from the hijack having been already called been by Richard Florestan in middle position and Benjamin Herman in the big blind.
The board read 8♥3♠3♣10♣ and Herman checked to Florestan who bet 3,000. Herman moved all in for 16,000 and Florestan called.
Peter Froehlich: A♥J♦
Benjamin Herman: K♥K♦
Richard Florestan: 8♦8♣
Florestan's full house held up on the J♣ river to see a boost to Florestan's stack while Herman and Froehlich were eliminated from the tournament.
Thomas Eychenne opened to 1,400 from middle position but Joshua Mullins to his left three-bet to 4,000. Eychenne called and checked the J♦K♦J♣ flop. Mullins checked-back.
The K♠K♥ runout brought a full house on the board, but both players decided to check until the end. Eychenne had A♠Q♣, Mullins had A♦3♦ so they split the pot.
Action was joined as Curtis Freeze had manoeuvred the remains of his stack, roughly 21,500, into the middle versus Mark Lewandowski.
It was bad news for Freeze when the cards were turned onto their backs, and he saw what he was up against.
Curtis Freeze: K♦Q♥
Mark Lewandowski: K♣K♥
Freeze had one foot out the door, and it looked certain the other would be following it on the 5♥5♦2♣ flop.
The 2♥ turn confirmed his fate, and while the dealer was burning and turning the A♥ river, Freeze was gathering his belongings to leave.
Daniel Duarte raised to 1,500 in early position. Jasthi Kumar then made it 7,000 in the cutoff, and Randy Toogood moved in for 13,800 from the small blind. It folded back to Kumar, who confirmed the amount before calling off.
Randy Toogood: A♦K♠
Jasthi Kumar: K♥K♦
Kumar faded the ace on the Q♣Q♥5♣2♠9♠ runout, sending Toogood to the rail.
Three players saw the flop come down 10♣6♣7♣. After two checks, Rodrigo Portaleoni bet 2,000 from the hijack. David Baldanza called from the big blind, but Braxton Dunaway folded from early position.
The 7♥ turn went check-check, and the 10♥ peeled off on the river. Baldanza checked, but Portaleoni fired out 6,500. Baldanza reluctantly called and then mucked after seeing the boat of Portaleoni with 10♠9♠.
Brian Carraher raised in the small blind 2,200 and in the big blind Michael Garcia called.
The flop rolled out 7♥6♦3♦ and Carraher continued for 2,200 to see Garcia call.
Carraher checked the 9♣ turn over to Garcia who bet 5,000 and Carraher called.
Both players checked the river 2♦ and Carraher turned over A♠7♠ for a pair of sevens which was good for the pot.
With two players seeing a board of 3♥7♦3♣2♦ and just over 4,000 in the middle, Dylan Kahn checked from early position and called a 2,500 bet from JJ Liu on the button.
Liu fired another barrel for 4,500 on the J♥ river and this time Kahn opted to fold.
Dhesikan Ananchaperumal raised to 1,600 from early position and was called by Chad Holloway in the small blind for a heads-up pot.
Both players checked on the 4♥9♥3♥ flop and then Holloway check-called a 2,200 bet from Ananchaperumal on the K♦ turn.
The 3♣ completed the board and both players went back to checking.
Holloway shrugged before turning over A♠Q♥ and Ananchaperumal said, "That's good," as he flashed an Ax and sent his hand into the muck.
Steve Nixon was all in and at risk for 19,100 from middle position against Steven Josephsen on the button.
Steve Nixon: Q♦Q♥
Steven Josephsen: A♠Q♣
Nixon's queens held on 4♥10♣6♣K♣10♦ and he secured a double-up.
