Frustration Shows

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Ramana Epparla
Ramana Epparla

Ramana Epparla raised on the button to 1,200 and was met with immediate resistance in the form of a three-bet to 3,300 by Dustin Holladay, in the small blind. The big blind considered his options before folding, and Epparla immediately flicked in the call. "I knew you weren't going to fold", quipped Holladay, implying some history between the two.

Holladay continued for 3,000 on the 479 flop, and Epparla wasted no time in calling.

When the dealer flipped the 8 turn, Holladay slowed down with a check, and Epparla sensed his opportunity, putting out a bet of 2,000. Holladay called to see the final card.

The K river was dealt, and Holladay proceeded with another check. Epparla casually flicked in a 5,000 chip, which elicited an immediate, frustrated fold from Holladay.

Fazlibegu Interrupts Burlacu's Meal

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Claudiu Burlacu checked from early position on a flop of 3J4 and Lejdin Fazlibegu bet 2,000 from the button. Burlacu, who was munching down on some sort of protein bar, tossed in the call.

Burlacu took another nibble of his post-dinner snack before checking the J turn over to Fazlibeg. Fazlibegu bet 4,000, which Burlacu called.

The 2 completed the board and Burlacu checked. Fazlibegu put out a big bet of 16,000, and Burlacu had a decision to make. A few more bites of his nutritious bar occurred before Burlacu decided to lay his hand down and give up the pot to Fazlibegu.

Four players — Gabriel Gutierrez, Andrea Salamone, Vladimir Nex and Doug Polk — were in for 4,200 thanks to a preflop three-bet.

The flop hit 5Q8. Gutierrez checked in the big blind, and so did Salamone under the gun. Nex bet 4,100 from middle position. Polk called from the button.

The turn brought the 10. Nex checked and Polk went all in.

It didn't take Nex long to let go of his hand.

Later, Polk said he didn't realize the pot was three-bet preflop.

"We brought our A-game today," he joked.
