The action folded around to Thomas Boshoff on the button who raised to 1,600. Ondrej Drozd stuck in a three-bet from the small blind and Boshoff four-bet jammed all in for 42,500. Drozd quickly called and the cards were on their backs.
Thomas Boshoff: A♠K♦
Ondrej Drozd: K♥K♣
Drozd took out his phone to record the community cards of Q♠5♥2♥8♣8♥ as he eliminated Boshoff on the first hand of the day.

With around 10,000 chips in the pot on a board of K♠6♦J♣8♦, Lara Eisenberg checked from middle position and Victoria Volynsky fired out a bet of 5,000 on the button. Eisenberg called.
When the 2♠ hit the river, both decided to quickly tap the table and take it to showdown, with Volynsky showing A♣K♦ for top pair. Eisenberg couldn't beat that and mucked, allowing Volynsky to grow her stack early on.

Steven Mangum raised from the cutoff before Kevin Rabichow three-bet to 5,600 on the button. Oscar Kathrud then moved all in for 24,700 in the small blind.
Mangum put in the 5,600 to call Rabichow's bet, not noticing that Kathrud had shoved. The floor had to be called over, and it was ruled that he could choose to leave the 5,600 in the pot and fold, or call Kathrud's all-in. He eventually folded, while Rabichow took a minute before calling.
Oscar Kathrud: 10♥10♠
Kevin Rabichow: J♣J♠
Rabichow had Kathrud dominated with his jacks, and the 8♦5♠5♣Q♣9♣ board provided no help to Kathrud as he was sent to the rail. Mangum then admitted he folded ace-queen.
"I probably would've folded if you called," Rabichow told him.

Action was picked up on the turn in a pot between Louis Barlow in early position and Jacob Beck in the hijack with 22,100 in the middle.
The board read 6♥10♥5♣A♣ and Barlow checked over to Beck who bet 10,500, earning a call from Barlow.
On the river J♥, Barlow checked once more and Beck sized up to 35,000.
Barlow counted out the call and separated it from the rest of his stack, contemplated for a bit before tossing his hand into the muck.

Three ways on a flop of 8♥7♠10♥ with 4,000 in the middle, Stephen Uknuis checked from the small blind and Steven Heard checked from early position to Philip Sternheimer, who bet 1,100 from middle position. Uknuis folded and Heard called.
The 4♦ fell on the turn and Heard checked again. Sternheimer wagered 4,500 and was met with a check-raise to 10,000 from Heard. Sternheimer pondered a bit, but eventually decided to let his hand go and Heard took the pot.

Joshua Schindler defended the flop against a raise by Arsh Grover and was spotted leading the J♠4♠3♦3♣ turn for 4,000. Schindler then checked the 10♥ on the river and Grover checked it back.
"Great flop, terrible turn and river," Schindler said as he exposed the 5♠2♠ for a missed straight and flush draw.
Grover won the pot with the A♣10♠ and replied "if you gonna play five deuce suited, that's the flop you want."
