Liu Smacks the River to Double

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Renmei Liu and Sachin Joshi built a pot of around 20,000 as they went heads-up to the 7Q4 flop. Joshi then bet 7,200 from the big blind and Liu called in middle position.

The turn was the 3 and Joshi bet 15,200. Liu snap-shoved for 44,500, and Joshi quickly called.

Liu had AQ for top pair and a flush draw, but he needed to improve against Joshi's KK. The 8 river gave him his flush and earned Liu the double up.

Brendon Kaufman is also at this table and sitting on a stack of around 250,000.
