Hellmuth Busts Murai to Start Day 2

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Takahiro Murai opened to 1,600 from early position and was called by two players, including Jimmy Dudley on the button. Phil Hellmuth reraised to 8,000 in the small blind and Murai shoved all in for 66,100. The action folded back to Hellmuth who went into the tank for over three minutes before the clock was called.

"Who called the clock?" Hellmuth questioned right away. Collin Ball put up his hand, only to have Hellmuth question how long he had been thinking for. The Poker Brat eventually made the call and the cards were face up.

Phil Hellmuth: QQ

The board ran out 1092JJ and Dudley exclaimed that he folded pocket jacks which would have made quads. However, Hellmuth was the winner of the pot and he took a quick video with Murai before he sent him on his way.

Ryuta Nakai
Ryuta Nakai

In a three-bet pot, Ryuta Nakai in middle position and hijack Zachary Hirst had collected 25,000 before the 3108 flop was dealt. They both checked to the 5 turn, where Nakai led out for 7,500.

Hirst called to the 6 river, where Nakai checked to him. Hirst bet 11,000, and Nakai quickly called. Hirst showed J10 for top pair, but Nakai had Q10 for a better kicker to claim the pot.

Clarke Dispatches Kulev

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Alex Kulev
Alex Kulev

Alex Kulev was seen with 7,500 chips out in front of him from the small blind and Jason Clarke had bumped it up to 18,000 in the hijack. After thinking it over for a while, Kulev shoved around 35,000, and Clarke snap-called.

Alex Kulev: AQ All in
Jason Clarke: AK

Kulev's Main Event life was on the line, and the flop of A38 put him one step closer to an early shower. A 6 on the turn put a flush draw on board and meant another spade would result in a chop, but instead the 7 hit the river, leaving Kulev on the sidelines.

Lucky Sevens Hold for Fujisaka

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Travis Fujisaka raised to 1,600 from under the gun, and action was folded to Amit Zulkowitz in the big blind who made the call.

The flop came 8QK, Zulkowitz check-called Fujisaka's 1,300 continuation bet, and both players checked the 2 turn as they did on the 2 river.

Fujisaka tabled 77 and was pushed the pot as Zulkowitz mucked his cards.

Great Flop, Terrible Turn and River

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Joshua Schindler defended the flop against a raise by Arsh Grover and was spotted leading the J433 turn for 4,000. Schindler then checked the 10 on the river and Grover checked it back.

"Great flop, terrible turn and river," Schindler said as he exposed the 52 for a missed straight and flush draw.

Grover won the pot with the A10 and replied "if you gonna play five deuce suited, that's the flop you want."

Three ways on a flop of 8710 with 4,000 in the middle, Stephen Uknuis checked from the small blind and Steven Heard checked from early position to Philip Sternheimer, who bet 1,100 from middle position. Uknuis folded and Heard called.

The 4 fell on the turn and Heard checked again. Sternheimer wagered 4,500 and was met with a check-raise to 10,000 from Heard. Sternheimer pondered a bit, but eventually decided to let his hand go and Heard took the pot.

Rabichow Picks Off Kathrud With Jacks

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Kevin Rabichow
Kevin Rabichow

Steven Mangum raised from the cutoff before Kevin Rabichow three-bet to 5,600 on the button. Oscar Kathrud then moved all in for 24,700 in the small blind.

Mangum put in the 5,600 to call Rabichow's bet, not noticing that Kathrud had shoved. The floor had to be called over, and it was ruled that he could choose to leave the 5,600 in the pot and fold, or call Kathrud's all-in. He eventually folded, while Rabichow took a minute before calling.

Oscar Kathrud: 1010 All in
Kevin Rabichow: JJ

Rabichow had Kathrud dominated with his jacks, and the 855Q9 board provided no help to Kathrud as he was sent to the rail. Mangum then admitted he folded ace-queen.

"I probably would've folded if you called," Rabichow told him.
