Mercer Shows Strength

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Luther Tran started the action with 2,100 under the gun and got a three-bet from the man to his left, Bradley Mercer to 4,800. When action folded back to him, Tran called.

The dealer unfurled QAA. Tran checked, and Mercer bet another 5,000 into the pot. Tran didn't hesitate to let go of his hand.

Ausmus Cedes

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jeremy Ausmus
Jeremy Ausmus

Action was joined as the big blind, Jeremy Ausmus, and under the gun player James Morgan were competing for a pot already worth 7,000 chips.

The dealer spread a 933 flop, and Ausmus elected to check-raise. Morgan had bet 2,000, which Ausmus increased to 6,500. The flop betting didn't end there, as Morgan then three-bet to 16,000. Ausmus called, and the two took a turn.

Morgan continued for 15,000 on the Q turn, and again, Ausmus called.

The river 9 did nothing to slow Morgan down. Ausmus checked for a third time, and Morgan fired 30,000 into the middle.

Ausmus weighed up his options, but on this occasion, chose to fold.

Delval Takes Three-Way Three-Bet Pot

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Frederic Delval raised to 1,700 under the gun. Cheng-Jyun Yang made it 6,200 in the next seat over, which Rajiv Sakaria cold-called in middle position. It folded back to Deval, who called, and Yang called as well.

The trio checked through the 2210 flop, after which Delval bet 5,000 on the 6 turn. Yang made a quick fold, but Sakaria flicked in a call.

The 8 river saw Delval size up to 13,000. After some deliberation, Sakaria called off. Delval showed QQ, and Sakaria's cards hit the muck.
