It was a coinflip scenario as Baptista picked up outs on the 10♣9♣5♣ flop with the nut flush draw. Nothing changed on the K♥ turn before the 8♣ landed on the river to give Baptista the nut flush as he celebrated his survival with some fist bumps to his tablemates.
Picking up the action on a Q♠Q♦K♦3♥ turn, Sylwia Studniarz checked to Sergio Benso, who bet 6,200 into a pot of 12,000. Studniarz then raised to 18,000, and Benso called.
Studniarz tossed in 20,000 on the 2♦ river. Benso weighed his options for quite a while before he tossed in calling chips.
Studniarz sighed as she tabled A♥2♥ for bottom pair, which Benso beat with his 6♠6♥ to rake in the pot.
Frederik Thiemer raised to 2,000 in middle position and Lawrence Ross called in late position. MSPT regular Christopher Meyers raised to 6,000 in the cutoff and on the button, Yuchi Han raised to 15,000 to see only Meyers call.
Meyers check-called a bet of 9,000 on the flop of 9♦K♥J♠ from Han.
Both players checked the turn Q♠ to see the 4♦ river, and Meyers bet 32,500 to see Han call.
At showdown, Meyers turned over J♣J♦ for a set of jacks but Han pipped him by turning over Q♣Q♦ for a set of queens.
Three players saw the dealer reveal a flop of 5♥Q♣8♥ where everyone checked for the 5♦ to appear on the turn. Peter Bobro checked from the small blind, but Brock Wilson led out for 4,000 from the big blind. Hiren Patel called on the button and Bobro folded.
The 2♦ landed on the river and both players checked. Wilson showed a busted draw with J♥9♥, and lost the pot to Patel's K♥8♠ for a pair of eights.
Bradley Wechsler in the big blind checked the action to his opponent Tobias Matuschek, who bet 6,000 on a flop of 5♥7♣J♥ and a pot of around 13,000. Wechsler called.
On the turn 3♥, Wechsler went into deep thought. He was taking significant time that Jared Hemingway had to ask, "Where is the action?" After answering the question by raising his hand, Wechsler fired 20,000 into the pot that ended the action with Matuschek folding.
Matthew Figlesthaler entered today and immediately started receiving an on-table massage. He raised to 2,500 in the cutoff and Mark Davidoff then jammed for 21,200 in the next seat from the button. Both blinds folded and Matthew Figlesthaler went into the tank for half a minute before he called.

The pocket pair was unable to hold on the A♠J♥2♦A♥2♣ board and Figlesthaler scored the knockout with aces full of deuces.
Jonathan Goldberg was all in for his remaining 2,500 chips from under the gun and Taishi Kuzuya raised to 7,000 from middle position. Action folded around the table and Goldberg was at risk for his tournament life after only taking a seat half-way through the first level of the day.

Goldberg was ahead, but Kuzuya flopped well on the 4♣Q♣K♦ board.
There wasn't any improvement for Goldberg on the J♦ turn or 3♠ river, and he was eliminated early into the day.
Eric Adelstein, Kevin Allen and Isaac Cramer were in for 3,000 on a flop of A♥5♣A♣
Allen, from the small blind, bet 5,500 on the 9♦ turn. Only Adelstein, who was on the button, called.
Allen fired 13,000 more chips when the 6♣ came on the river, and Adelstein quickly folded.
Action was joined on the 10♣10♦8♠ flop, and both Elijah Berg from early position and Liv Boeree in late position checked and saw the 3♦ come on the turn.
Berg checked, and Boeree fired out a bet of 2,500. Berg called, and the dealer peeled off the Q♦ as the river card. Berg checked again, and Boeree fired for 8,000 now. Berg thought for a while and folded his cards, sending the pot to Boeree with no showdown.
Eduardo Sanchez faced a bet of 10,000 by Ryota Shinde on the 10♦10♥7♥ flop and opted to call with the pot prior to that already at 29,000. That led them to the 2♦ turn when a second flush draw opened up. Shinde now made it 40,000 to go and that sent Sanchez deep into the tank before he folded.
