Cajigas Left on Fumes

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Yakov Albaz raised to 4,000 from early position and was called by Alcides Gomez on the button, Justin Goldman in the small blind, and Jason Cajigas in the big blind.

The flop came AKK and all players checked to see the 5 come on the turn. Action checked to Albaz, who bet out for 3,000. Gomez folded, and both Goldman and Cajigas called.

The river brought the 9. Goldman checked, and Cajigas bet out for 15,000. Albaz raised to 30,000, Goldman folded, and Cajigas went into the tank. He eventually called and Albaz tabled AK for a flopped full house, and Cajigas tossed his cards into the muck and left himself with a little more than a bowl of rice to play with.

Macdonald Runs Down Hall

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Tom MacDonald opened from late position to 3,000 and action folded around to Zachary Hall in the big blind who three-bet to 12,500. MacDonald four-bet to 27,000 and Hall five-bet jammed for around 170,000, covering MacDonald's remaining 105,000 stack.

MacDonald snap called and showed pocket aces. Hall showed his kings and the players went to the board.

Tom MacDonald: AAAll in
Zachary Hall: KK

The rainbow JJ3 didn't give Hall much to work with, and there was no change on the 8 turn and 5 river. MacDonald held to secure his double up, leaving Hall to take a tumble.

Felipe Olivieri called before Vinh Nguyen raised the pot to 13,000. Olivieri made the call for a side pot.

Nguyen and Oliveiri checked down the action to the river.

Olivieri had only queen high Q8. Bobrosky showed 55. Nguyen scooped the pots with 77.

Yamakawa Pays Off Ribeiro

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Three-ways to the A84 flop, Ryuichiro Yamakawa led for 7,000 from the hijack, Joseph Volz folded in the cutoff, and Jorge Ribeiro called on the button.

On the 10 turn, Yamakawa slowed with a check before Ribeiro fired out a bet of 16,000, and Yamakawa quickly called.

Yamakawa checked once more on the 2 river before Ribeiro sized up to 41,000. Yamakawa would think it over for around 30 seconds before he cut out calling chips and placed them into the middle. He got the bad news immediately as Ribeiro tabled QJ for the second nut flush as he scooped up a substantial pot to cross 200,000.

Marty Mathis
Marty Mathis

Marty Mathis was down to his last 500 chips and was forced all in from the small blind. Arthur Peacock raised from middle position and everyone else folded. Mathis turned over 109 and was up against the 66 of Peacock. A ten on the turn was good enough for Mathis who eventually made a straight on the river to claim the pot.

On the next hand, Peacock made it 3,000 again and Mathis stuck in his stack of 3,000 chips on the button. The rest of the table folded once again.

Marty Mathis: A7All in
Arthur Peacock: A5

The board ran out A104210 and Mathis held the better kicker for another double up to 10,000 chips.

"Ok, let's slow our roll," Mathis said as he took one hand off.

However, following that he was all in again for 10,000 in middle position. Peacock was in the big blind and took a moment to call after some speech play back and forth.

Marty Mathis: A4All in
Arthur Peacock: 87

The flop came AK2 and Mathis took another big lead with a pair of aces. The 6 on the turn left Peacock drawing dead to the Q on the river.

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Craig Bateman started the action with a raise to 3,000 from middle position. Play then folded around to Carlos Lucero in the small blind, who put in a three-bet to 10,000. When the action returned to Bateman, he took a moment or two before moving all in for 42,000.

Lucero didn't seem to like the situation he had found himself in. He took stock of his stack, reconfirmed the count of the all-in stack, before taking some more time to decide. After a couple of minutes, he made the call and received instant bad news.

Craig Bateman: AA All in
Carlos Lucero: AQ
