Alders Wins Small

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Caputo opened to 3,000 from the hijack and Yosef Kamil called from late position. John Alders also defended the big blind, and the players went three-ways to the 652 flop.

Alders checked, Caputo bet 13,000 and only Alders called.

The 10 turn was checked to the J river and then again to showdown.

Caputo mucked after seeing Alders show 56. Alders took the pot having flopped two pair.

Set Over Set Sends Erarte to the Rail

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Carlos Erarte raised it up in the hijack and Benedetto Bianco three-bet from the cutoff. Erarte just called and the dealer fanned the flop of AJ10. The two players quickly got all of their chips in the middle and it was Erarte at risk for around 50,000.

Carlos Erarte: JJAll in
Benedetto Bianco: AA

Both players flopped a set but it was Bianco who was in charge with his set of aces. The 4 and 7 runout did not provide Erarte with the one outer that he needed in order to stay alive.

Late-Night Double for Polk

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Doug Polk raised to 4,000 from the hijack and Randall Emmett defended from the big blind. The flop came 832 and Emmett check-called a bet of 3,500 from Polk.

The turn brought the 7 and Emmett checked again. Polk counted out a bet of 9,000 and Emmett quickly called to see the 10 on the river. Emmett checked for the third time and Polk jammed all in for 28,000 which Emmett snapped off.

Polk threw his hands in the air and celebrated after he turned over J9 for the nuts to score a late-night double-up.

Estrada Outflips Hapgood to the Rail

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ian Hapgood was all in for his final 86,000 from the cutoff, at risk against the covering stack of Brandon Estrada on the button.

Ian Hapgood: JJ All in
Brandon Estrada: AK

It was a coinflip with massive implications with almost 90 big blinds in the middle as the A appeared in the window followed by the 9 and 7 as Hapgood stood up from his chair. He could not find the needed improvement on the 58 runout as he sportingly shook his opponents' hands in a classy exit.

San Kim
San Kim

San Kim raised to 5,000 in middle position. Caleb Ralston called in the small blind, and Timothy Lee defended his big blind. The flop fell QAK. Ralston checked to Lee, who promptly piled in his remaining 22,500 chips.

Kim called, causing Ralston to get out of the way.

Timothy Lee: A9 All in
San Kim: J10

Kim had flopped the nuts, but Ralston turned some outs on the 7. The 6 river did not bring a heart, however, and Lee shook his head as he departed the tournament area, seeing Kim sit on a massive stack of over 400 big blinds.

Suvarna Springs the Trap with Trips

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Peter Bloch got things started from middle position, raising it up to 4,500 with pocket jacks JJ. Action folded around to Santhosh Suvarna in the big blind, who decided to defend with 83.

The flop came 63Q, giving Suvarna bottom pair while Bloch held the overpair. Suvarna checked it over, and Bloch fired a continuation bet of 4,500, which Suvarna called without hesitation.

Things took a turn on the 3 turn, giving Suvarna trips. This time, both players tapped the table and checked it through.

On the 2 river, Suvarna led out for 27,000. Bloch took his time, eventually tossing in the call, only to be shown the bad news as Suvarna raked in the pot with trip threes.

Lightning on River Delivers Franklin

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Franklin raised all in from the cutoff and got two callers in Yoshihiro Morita under the gun and Sin Ren Chen from the hijack.

Chen bet 5,000 on the flop of K310 and Morita called. They pair checked the turn 10 and river 7.

Franklin screamed for the river to be a seven ("Come on seven ball!") because he held 76. The pair on the river was enough for him to take the main pot.

Morita AJ and Chen AJ chopped a small side pot.

Jackson Sends Out Constantino Late

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Action was picked up in a pot between three players with Luiz Antonio Silva Constantino in the small blind, Jesse Kertland under the gun, and David Jackson in middle position.

Constantino checked the flop of Q75 over to Kertland who bet 7,000, prompting Jackson to raise to 25,000. Constantino moved all in for 54,500 and both Kertland and Jackson called.

Kertland checked the 6 turn, which saw Jackson bet 80,000 and Kertland folded.

Luiz Antonio Silva Constantino: A4 All in
David Jackson: 77

The river 6 did give Constantino a flush, but it was no good against Jackson's sevens full and the WSOP bracelet winner took down the pot.
