Rocco Takes A Funky Line

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Anthony Bakri had opened from the hijack and Michael Rocco called from the small blind.

On the 1093 flop, Rocco check-called a bet of 2,000 from Bakri.

Rocco checked once more on the J turn as Bakri tossed out another bet of 4,000. Rocco would take a minute to weigh his options before he put out a min-raise to 8,000, and Bakri called.

On the Q river, Rocco led for just 2,400 and Bakri quickly called as Rocco tabled KJ for the turned top pair and rivered straight as he collected the pot.

Brunson Runs Queens into Aces

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Todd Brunson
Todd Brunson

Jose Bogarin and Todd Brunson just got into a preflop raising war from the blinds, which resulted in Brunson shoving his stack of 40,000. Bogarin instantly called to put the Hall of Famer at risk.

Todd Brunson: QQ All in
Jose Bogarin: AA

A bit of a cooler for Brunson, who needed a queen to stay in the tournament. However, the runout of J95510 didn't help Brunson, and all of his chips headed over to Bogarin.

Jauslin Gets Surprise Win

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

With the flop showing 106Q, Gilberto Ramos shoved all in under the gun. Stefan Jauslin, in the big blind, made the call.

Gilberto Ramos: AQAll in
Stefan Jauslin: KJ

Jauslin jumped ahead when the K came on the turn and the 8 river didn't change anything.

Jauslin asked the dealer to give him his change from the call, as she tried to push the pot to him. He was disappointed that he missed making a straight and didn't realize the king had given him the win.

"Every player has that happen once in his life," he laughed.

Martin Uses His One Time Early

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Serge Chechin limped in from under the gun before Cory Martin shoved for roughly 6,600 from the cutoff. Only Chechin called.

Cory Martin: A5 All in
Serge Chechin: K8

Martin got out of his chair and was calling for his "one time" to keep him in the event. The poker gods complied as the board came 10J337, helping neither player, meaning Mortin's ace-high earned him the much needed double-up.

Thompson's Value is Too Thin

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Gary Thompson raised it up from under the gun and Chaklam Tsang defended from the big blind. The flop came KQ2 and Tsang check-called a bet of 2,200 from Thompson.

The turn brought the 8 and Tsang checked again. Thompson fired out a bet of 9,000 and Tsang deliberated for a moment before making the call. The J hit the river and Tsang checked for the third time. Thompson put together a bet of 16,000 and Tsang quickly called. Thompson turned over AK for top pair but Tsang showed Q8 for two pair to win the pot.

Foxen Out, Wolfgang In

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Kristen Foxen
Kristen Foxen

Andrew McIlvain raised from the hijack to 2,000, the player on the button called before Kristen Foxen raised to 10,000 in the big blind.

McIlvain responded by moving all in for roughly 65,000. The button player folded, but Foxen made the call.

As the shorter stack, with roughly 59,000, Foxen was the player at risk.

Kristen Foxen: QQ All in
Andrew Mcilvain: AK

It was a bad start for Foxen on the K98 flop, as McIlvain improved to top pair.

There was no saving grace on the 2 turn, nor the 6 river, and Foxen said her goodbyes to the table.

On a nearby table, Alexander 'Wolfgang' Seibt has just bought in and taken his seat.
