Bazeley Flushes Out on Nimer

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Nicholas Sena-Hopkins opened to 1,600 in the hijack and was called by Salah Nimer on the button along with the small blind. Jacob Bazeley reraised to 8,000 in the big blind and was called by Sena-Hopkins and Nimer.

The three players saw a flop of 853 and the action checked around to the A on the turn. Nimer was the first to take a stab at the pot with a bet of 3,200 on the turn. Bazeley called and Sena-Hopkins got out of the way.

The river was the 6 and both players tapped the table with four clubs on the board. Bazeley turned over KJ for a flush and Nimer flashed his A before his cards went into the muck.

Martinez Moves in the Right Direction

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Roberto Martinez raised in middle position to 2,000, and only Jeffrey Berwick made the call, defending his big blind.

Martinez continued for another 2,000 on the 269 flop, which Berwick called.

It was the same strategy on the turn, as when Berwick checked, Martinez bet 2,000 for a third time. This time, though, Berwick upped the ante, check-raising to 8,000. Martinez called, and they headed to a river.

The dealer burned and turned the 9, and both players hit the brakes, checking one after the other.

Jeffrey Berwick flipped over A10, which was unable to beat the 88 of Martinez.

Porta Gets Counterfeited to Bust

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

On a flop of 478, Diego Porta got his stack of 18,200 into the middle from the big blind against Dina Olano on the button.

Diego Porta: 84 All in
Dina Olano: 99

Porta was ahead with top and bottom pair against the overpair of Olano. The rest of the board ran out AA, counterfeiting Porta's two pair. Porta was out and Olano added to her stack.

No One Has a Pair

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action picked up three-ways to the turn with the board reading J887 as Youcef Zalagh led for 3,000 from the big blind. Hieu Le called in the cutoff, as did Stephen Zipprich on the button.

On the 7 river, the action checked around as Zalagh announced queen-high, Le announced ace-high, and Zipprich tabled his ace-high.

Hieu Le: A5
Stephen Zipprich: A10

Everyone made it to the river without connecting to the board directly, and the pot was chopped by the two ace-highs.

Hansen Triples; Brewington Busts in Three-Way Clash

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Gus Hansen
Gus Hansen

Three ways on a flop of K2Q, Carl Brewington and Gus Hansen were already all in against Luciano Sztulman, who had both players covered. Hansen had the smallest stack with a bit over 30,000, while Brewington had well over 100,000.

Gus Hansen: AKAll in
Carl Brewington: KQAll in
Luciano Sztulman: AQ

Brewington had the best of it with two pair against Hansen's top pair and Sztulman's middle pair with a flush draw, but the 2A runout paired both Sztulman's and Hansen's ace — leaving Hansen best with top two pair for the main pot while Sztulman took the side with aces and queens.

Kamil Knocks Down Caputo

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Michael Caputo opened to 1,600 from under the gun and Yosef Kamil called from the hijack. Aviv Raff also defended the big blind.

The K7Q flop was checked to see the 9 turn.

Raff and Caputo checked, Kamil bet 2,500, and only Caputo called.

The J river saw Caputo check, Kamil bet 8,500, and Caputo folded after around a minute.

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Shyam Srinivasan raised to 2,000 and was called by Joshua Abiscott and Andjelko Andrejevic in the blinds. The KQQ flop was checked and Abiscott also checked the 7 on the turn. Andrejevic bet 2,000 and picked up two calls.

On the A river, Abiscott checked and Andrejevic bet 6,000. Srinivasan folded and Abiscott called to see his table neighbour Andrejevic muck and forfeit the pot.

Straight Saves Edlin's Aces

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Maurice Hawkins raised to 3,000 in the cutoff. Andrew Edlin, seated next to Hawkins on the button, hesitated for a bit, then raised to 9,000.

Robert Holben, playing from the big blind, popped it to 22,000 chips with a four-bet.

Hawkins bowed out. Edlin went all in for 34,100. Holben called.

Andrew Edlin: AAAll in
Robert Holben: QQ

The runout QJ10K3 was dramatic, with Holben flopping a set and Edlin turning a straight to save his aces from being cracked.
