Hatmaker Sets Up Villegas

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Action picked up on the turn with the board reading 652A in a pot between Mark Villegas from middle position and Casey Hatmaker from the big blind. Hatmaker checked to Villegas who bet 6,000 before Hatmaker check-raised to 18,000, and Villegas called.

On the Q river, Hatmaker sized up to Villegas who would take over a minute before he opted to flick in the call. He got the bad news as Hatmaker tabled 22 for a flopped set of twos as he got value from Villegas.

Kassouf Soars; Sabia Falls

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Will Kassouf
Will Kassouf

Matthew Sabia raised to 5,500 from early position and Roland Rokita called in middle position with Will Kassouf on the button.

The flop rolled out A43 and action checked around to Kassouf who bet 13,000 and Sabia responded with a raise to 26,000. Rokita folded and Kassouf went into his usual soliloquy, but he ultimately decided to call.

On the turn J Sabia checked a second time.

"Oh you checked?" asked Kassouf, "This is weird. I wonder if you just have ace-queen of diamonds."

After taking some time and the clock getting called on him by one of his table mates, Kassouf bet 57,000. Sabia responded by moving all in for 114,000, sending Kassouf back into the tank.

"I guess if you got it you've got it," he said after thinking for a little bit longer, then put in the chips to put Sabia at risk.

Matthew Sabia: 44 All in
Will Kassouf: 86

The river 10 kept Kassouf in the lead as he soared up the counts while Sabia exited the tournament.

Francois Truong

Tolga Demirel raised to 6,000 from under the gun. Francois Truong three-bet to 40,000 leaving himself just 4,500 behind. Rohit Mariwalla folded in the next position and it folded back to Demirel who called.

Francois Truong: 66 All in
Tolga Demirel: AK

The AK10 flop gave Demirel two pair, with Mairwalla bemoaning the fact he'd folded pocket tens. The turn J and river 7 bricked for Truong and he was eliminated.

More for Sturm

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Michael Garner opened to 5,000 from the hijack with KJ and Leon Sturm called from the cutoff with AK. Phil Hellmuth called from the small blind with 77 before Michael Ginn three-bet to 20,000 from the big blind with AQ. Garner folded before Sturm four-bet shoved, covering all remaining players. Hellmuth folded and after a few minutes of contemplation Ginn folded as well, conceding the pot to Sturm.

Roussy-Majeau Crushes Flip with Flop of Dreams

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Jessica Vierling
Jessica Vierling

Samuel Roussy-Majeau opened the action from the hijack, raising to 5,000. Jessica Vierling responded with a three-bet to 16,500 from the button. After a short pause, Roussy-Majeau came back with a four-bet to 29,000, and Vierling quickly moved all in. Roussy-Majeau snap-called to set up a showdown.

Jessica Vierling: JJAll in
Samuel Roussy-Majeau: AK

Vierling was ahead preflop, but the dealer wasted no time flipping the script as the flop landed AA4, giving Roussy-Majeau trips with top kicker. The 10 turn and Q river offered no help to Vierling, who hit the rail while Roussy-Majeau raked in a decent pot.

Naves Flops Broadway to Double Against Primerano

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Tauan Naves
Tauan Naves

Daniele Primerano opened from the cutoff and Tauan Naves three-bet the button to 18,000. When it got back to Primerano, he took some time before he shoved, and Naves made the call for his last 87,000.

Tauan Naves: AQ All in
Daniele Primerano: 44

Naves had to win a flip to stay alive, and seemed almost certain to do so after he flopped Broadway on J10K. Primerano was left drawing dead on the 6 turn, and the meaningless Q filled out the board.
