Attlan Hits the River to Double Up

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Benjamin Attlan jammed for 23,000 from middle position. John Dutchak to his left raised to 75,000 and all the other players folded.

Benjamin Attlan: A10 All in
John Dutchak: AJ

Attlan stood up as the dealer ran out a flop of 498, but stayed near the table after the 7 turn gave him a straight draw and a flush draw. Dutchak begged the dealer to reveal a river that suited him, but the Q river completed Attlan's flush and he doubled up.

Pahuja Doubles Up After Floor Ruling

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Vineet Pahuja moved all in for 26,500 from early position. It folded around to James Calderaro, who had just sat at the table. He sat with cards in front of him, but it was unclear whether he was allowed to play the hand.

It was clear that Calderaro was at the table when his second card was dealt, but the timing of the first card off the deck and when Calderaro's position was first dealt a card was unclear. The floor ultimately ruled that Calderaro had a live hand.

"Hope I have a biggie," he said, before folding. Waheed Feda then called and the blinds folded.

Vineet Pahuja: J10 All in
Waheed Feda: QJ

Pahuja was dominated but the 985 flop gave him straight outs. The turn was the 8 but the river 7 completed his straight and he stayed alive.

Bromberg Slows Down Kassouf

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Johnny Bromberg opened to 9,000 from middle position and Will Kassouf three-bet to 33,000 from the small blind. Bromberg called.

The flop came 4Q3. Kassouf continued for 50,000 and was called by Bromberg.

Both players checked the 8 turn leading to the 7 river. Bromberg bet 55,000 and Kassouf asked several questions and made multiple comments to Bromberg, trying to get a read. Bromberg remained silent and after several minutes the clock was eventually called.

With a few seconds remaining Kassouf called and showed JJ. Bromberg had him beat with KQ to take the pot.

Kossew Doubles in Dramatic Fashion

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

There was some uproar over on table 491 as Jedd Kossew jumped out of his chair and by accident hit Lawrence Meldman, who he had just doubled through in dramatic fashion. It was not a preflop all-in by the looks of it as Kossew doubled for 31,000 when he was at risk with the KK.

Meldman had been involved with the AK and improved on the A94 flop to leave the South African with just one out. That didn't come on the 5 turn but the miracle K river saved Kossew, also being the reason for the emotional outburst.

Toledo Takes it Down

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The action was joined as Fernando Gutierrez, on the button and Delmiro Toledo, in the small blind, were competing for a pot worth roughly 50,000 chips.

The felt already had three cards on their back, a flop of A28.

Toledo led out for a bet of 15,000, and Guitierrez responded with a raise to 38,000. Undeterred, Toledo stuck around to see a turn card.

The dealer then revealed the 8 turn, which slowed the action as both players checked.

The river was a similar story, as both players checked after seeing the 10.

Toledo flipped over A7, which was the best hand as Gutierrez mucked his cards.

Kassouf Gets Top Pair to Fold

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Will Kassouf opened to 10,000 from middle position with QJ and received calls from Michael Nelson in the cutoff with A8 and Johnny Bromberg in the big blind with 98.

The flop came 74A and action checked around to Kassouf who bet 15,000. Only Nelson called.

Kassouf sized up with a 50,000 bet when checked to on the 3 turn. Nelson folded his top pair and Kassouf took the pot without showdown.

Neugebauer Shows Why Everybody Loves Jacks

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Max Neugebauer
Max Neugebauer

Max Neugebauer opened the hijack to 8,000 before Roberto Romanello jammed for 117,000 from the cutoff. Once it folded back to Neugebauer, he announced call and the cards hit their backs.

Roberto Romanello: AK All in
Max Neugebauer: JJ

The A in the window was a welcome sight for Romanello, until it was followed by J7 as Neugebauer made middle set. Romanello was drawing dead once the 6 turn hit the felt, and he wished his opponents farewell as the Q river completed the board.
