Phil Hellmuth opened to 6,000 from middle position with A♠6♦ and Noah Novick three-bet shoved for 152,500 from the button with 9♠9♦.
Michael Garner was in the big blind with A♦K♦ and opted to fold against the massive shove. Hellmuth also folded and the pot was pushed to Novick.
Jungsoo Bin raised the second hand a row and this time found two customers in Lukas Pazma on the button and Daniel Spear in the big blind. On the J♦6♠5♠ flop, they checked to Bin and his bet of 7,000 was called two ways. The 5♦ turn was checked by Spear and Bin's bet of 13,000 won the pot.
Action was on a Q♣9♥6♠ flop and Jongtae Kim checked out of the small blind. Ralph Salonia bet 7,000 and Kim check-raised to 15,000.
Salonia called and the turn Q♦ paired the board. Kim continued for 12,000 and Salonia shoved for 78,000.
Kim covered his opponent by just 10,000 and eventually folded on what was possibly the first hand of the day.
Cory Ryan raised in the hijack and Daniel Jesudason three-bet to 55,000 on the button. Ryan called.
The flop landed 5♦8♦J♣ and Ryan moved all in for around 100,000. Jesudason called with a bigger stack.

Stephen Hesse opened from the cutoff before Yinan Zhou three-bet from the small blind, and Hesse called to create a pot of 53,000.
On the montone A♣J♣9♣ flop, Zhou continued for 13,000 and Hesse quickly put in the call.
The turn brought the 7♥ as Zhou fired again for 25,000. After a minute's tank, Hesse let it go as the 2024 WSOP Super Main Event Champion dragged an early pot.
Narcis Nedelcu opened to 5,000 from the hijack and Michael Garner called from the cutoff.
The flop came J♥Q♣8♠ and Nedelcu check-called a 6,000 bet from Garner.
Both players checked the 2♦ turn leading to the A♣ river. Nedelcu bet 17,000 and Garner called.
Nedelcu had fourth pair with K♦8♦ while Garner had second pair with Q♥10♣ to win the hand.
Carlos Serrano opened the button to 6,000 and Andrey Pateychuk defended his big blind.
Pateychuk check-called a bet of 3,500 from Serrano on the 6♥10♠2♣ flop.
Both players checked down the 2♥ turn and 4♠ river. Pateychuk turned over K♦J♦ for king-high, which was enough to win the pot as Serrano mucked.
Ian Crampton opened to 5,000 from the button and Caetano Rufino three-bet shoved for 34,500 from the small blind. Crampton called with a covering stack to put Rufino at risk.

Rufino was in rough shape against a bigger ace but the A♦4♠J♥ flop gave him top two pair, leaving Crampton drawing to just three outs. No queens materialized on the 2♠ turn or 6♣ river and Rufino doubled up.
Brandon Fishman raised to 5,000 and the action folded to Michael Estes on the button, who pushed all-in for 18,000. The blinds both folded and Fishman reluctantly called.

Gary Margolis announced all in for 500 chips from early position, Phua Wei on this direct left raised to 6,000, Pierce Mckellar called in the big blind.
Wei bet 3,000 when the flop came 7♥2♥10♥, Mckellar check-called. Both players decided to check on the 4♣ turn, and Mckellar led for 7,000 on the 5♦ river, Wei snap-folded.
Margolis tabled king-high with K♥8♣, but could not beat the two pair of Mckellar with 7♦4♦ and he was unfortunately eliminated.
