The penultimate level has come to an end on Day 3, which means the 1,621 remaining players are now going on their final 20-minute break of the day.
When they return at roughly 10:35 p.m., the blinds will be 3,000/6,000 with a big blind ante of 6,000. Here are some of the highlights from the previous two hours of poker:
A huge pot was brewing between three players, and Terrance Reid recalled the action until the turn.
Peter Schneider had opened to 12,000 from middle position and Alexandros Kolonias three-bet the small blind to 60,000. Gustavo Morales cold-called from the big blind, and Schneider also called.
On the K♠8♥J♠ flop, Kolonias continued for 60,000, which both Morales and Schneider called.
When the A♥ hit the turn, it checked to Schneider, who shoved for 215,000. Kolonias took around three minutes before he called, and Morales decided to fold.
Peter Schneider: 10♥9♥
Alexandros Kolonias: K♦J♦
Schneider had a huge combo draw and needed to get there against the two pair of Kolonias. A huge of "Yessss," was heard from Schneider as he improved to a flush on the 4♥ river, earning him the huge pot.
Luke Chung opened to 10,000 from the button and Gaetan Lheureux defended from the big blind.
The flop came 6♣2♣5♠ and Lheureux check-called a 13,000 continuation bet from Chung.
Lheureux checked the Q♣ turn and Chung bet 30,000. Lheureux shoved for 103,000 and Chung called with a covering stack to put him at risk.
Gaetan Lheureux: A♣5♦
Luke Chung: 8♠8♣
Lheureux had a pair of fives and was drawing to the nut-flush while Chung was ahead with a pair of eights. The 10♦ river changed nothing for either player and Lheureux was sent to the rail while Chung claimed the last of his chips.
On the river of a completed board reading A♦8♥7♦7♥3♠, Guillaume Genin checked and Andrey Pateychuk bet 85,000 on the button. The very reluctant call by Genin followed and Pateychuk rolled over the 7♣7♠ for quads sevens to claim the pot.
David Kaufmann raised in middle position to 10,000, Jamin Stokes three-bet on the button to 25,000, Kaufmann four-bet to 45,000, Stokes five-bet shoved for 170,000, and Kaufmann snap-called.
Jamin Stokes: Q♣Q♦
David Kaufmann: A♣A♠
Great flop for both players as Stokes flopped and set and Kaufmann the nut flush draw on 2♠Q♠3♠, the 7♦ turn kept Stokes in the lead, but the 6♠ on the river eliminated him from the tournament.
Heads-up to the turn with just over 90,000 in the middle, Roberto Bianchi checked from early position to Gregory Gius in the cutoff with the board reading 6♠4♦3♥4♥. Gius put out a small bet before Bianchi instantly moved all in as the covering stack and Gius snapped it off for his final 93,000 total.
Gregory Gius: K♦K♣
Roberto Bianchi: Q♣Q♦
It was a cooler scenario between two premium holdings with Gius having the best of it. Nothing changed on the 3♠ river as Bianchi frustratingly cut out the double-up chips which were shipped to Gius as he collected a huge one.
