Dickner, Frankland, and Joshi Eliminated on the Stone Bubble

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Mark Dickner asked the floor if the bubble received a package to the WSOP Paradise Main Event before tossing in his last 5,000 from early position. Thomas Boivin then raised to 20,000 in early position, but Kelvin Kerber moved all in in the hijack and Boivin folded.

Mark Dickner: 53 All in
Kelvin Kerber: KJ

Dickner was actively rooting for his own elimination as the flop came KQ10 to give Kerber top pair. Dickner picked up a flush draw on the 8 turn, but he missed the 2 river and raised his arms in the air in celebration after being eliminated on the bubble.

In another section, Mathew Frankland was all-in for 51,000 on a flop of 459 and a pot of 55,000. Michael Miravi, his heads-up opponent, made the call.

Mathew Frankland: 109 All in
Michael Miravi: KK

Frankland had hit top pair on the flop, but couldn't beat Miravi's pocket kings. The A7 runout didn't help Frankland at all, making him one of the players who busted on the bubble.

Sachin Joshi was forced all-in with his stack of 4,000 in the small blind. Julien Mariani put in a raise to 16,000 from early position before the player on his direct left three-bet to 40,000. The action folded to the big blind, who elected to cold-call. Mariani also called.

The dealer burned and turned three, providing a 343 flop. The player in the big blind checked, but Mariani decided to take over the betting lead, placing a wager of roughly 65,000. The rest folded.

Sachin Joshi: 96 All in
Julien Mariani: K6

There was no help for Joshi on the 8 turn, and while he made a pair on the 6 river, Mariani had made the same pair with a superior kicker, resulting in Joshi's elimination from the Main Event.

Frankland Wins the Flip; First Entry into WSOP Super Main Event

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Mathew Frankland
Mathew Frankland

There were three players eliminated in one hand on the stone bubble; therefore, a poker flip would be required to determine who would be the bubble boy. The winner of the flip would win a $30,000 package into the $25,000 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event in The Bahamas, which boasts a $60 million guaranteed prize pool.

Mathew Frankland, Marco Dickner, and Sachin Joshi were all eliminated on the stone bubble and proceeded to Table 448 to take part in the flip. Each player received two cards, and they were tabled before any community cards were dealt.

Sachin Joshi: 102
Marco Dickner: 99
Mathew Frankland: Q4

The flop came 653, and Dickner was still in the lead with his pair of nines despite both of his opponents picking up straight draws to go with their one overcard. The 3 paired the board on the turn but didn't change anything. However, the 2 peeled off on the river, which gave Frankland a straight.

Frankland was declared the stone-bubble boy, but the three players will split the two payouts for a total of $30,000 (each player will receive $10,000). Frankland earned the very first entry into the WSOP Paradise $25,000 Super Main Event taking place in December 2025.

Meunier More Than Triples, Alvarado Busts in Five-Way Pot

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Clement Meunier in early position and Ricardo Alvardo in middle position were already all in as Frank Flowers, Samuel Roussy-Majeau, and Kenneth Der went to the flop of 1059 with around 220,000 in the pot.

Der then bet 20,000 from the hijack and Flowers called on the button. Roussy-Majeau also called in the big blind and the turn came the 6.

Action checked to Flowers who bet 225,000. Roussy-Majeau took a few minutes before folding, while Der quickly got out of the way.

Flowers turned over 98 for a pair and straight draw, while Alvarado had AJ. Meunier, though, was ahead with KK and held on through the 10 river to take most of the pot, while Alvarado was sent to the rail.

Lee Spikes the River to Bust Rankic

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Marijan Rankic moved all in for around 130,000 from middle position and Daehyung Lee put him at risk in the big blind.

Marijan Rankic: AK All in
Daehyung Lee: JJ

Rankic was racking for his tournament life and took the lead on the 9K4 flop with top pair. The Q turn left him a card away from a double up, but Lee spiked the J on the river to make a set and send Rankic to the rail.

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

With two players seeing a board of 93Q2 and 100,000 in the middle, Corey Wick checked from the hijack and Stephen Chidwick bet 75,000 from the cutoff. Wick called.

Chidwick continued for 230,000 when checked to on the 4 river. Wick shoved for just 12,000 more and Chidwick snap-called.

Wick had top pair with QJ but Chidwick had the nut-flush with A4 to eliminate Wick and take down the sizable pot.

Leo Margets: KK All in

Gross Talks Studniarz Into Doubling Him Up

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jeff Gross
Jeff Gross

In the final hand before the break, arriving on a 1058K turn, Jeff Gross checked from the big blind to Sylwia Studniarz in early position. Studniarz bet 60,000, and Gross moved all in for 262,000.

Studniarz spent more than five minutes in the tank, during which she and Gross were almost constantly talking to each other. Eventually, Studniarz hinted she might have queen-jack for a straight draw.

"If you have queen-jack, do what you have to do," Gross said to her.

The clock was then called on Studniarz, and she called off during her countdown.

Jeff Gross: K10 All in
Sylwia Studniarz: QJ

Studniarz's straight draw missed on the 6 river, and Gross raked in a double-up with his two pair.

Kyte Applies Maximum Pressure, Forces Big Fold from Pinnola

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jon Kyte
Jon Kyte

Jon Kyte kicked off the action from the cutoff with a raise to 22,000 and got a call from Max Pinnola in the big blind.

On the 88Q flop, Pinnola check-raised Kyte’s 15,000 continuation bet to 42,000. Kyte called without much hesitation, taking them to the turn.

The 10 hit next, and this time Pinnola led out for 60,000. Kyte again made the call.

With the 4 on the river, Pinnola ramped up the pressure, firing 115,000 and leaving himself just 151,000 behind. Kyte responded by moving all in, putting Pinnola to the ultimate test for his tournament life.

Pinnola clearly didn’t love the spot. He sighed, stared down the board for a while, and after a couple of minutes slid his cards into the muck, surrendering the sizeable pot.

"Fold jack-nine?" Kyte asked with a grin, but Pinnola wasn’t in the mood to answer, still visibly frustrated as the chips went Kyte's way.

Lopes Galindo, Salas Bet Out Their Opponents

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Damian Salas
Damian Salas

With around 250,000 in the pot on a board of 5437, Humberto Lopes Galindo bet 120,000 from the button and Carlos Loving called in the big blind.

The river was the 10 and Lopes Galindo moved all in. Loving had around 300,000 remaining and took a few minutes before folding.

At the same time at another table, Damian Salas and Linglin Zeng had built a pot of around 300,000 as they went heads-up to the 673 flop. Salas then bet 50,000 from the hijack and Zeng called in middle position.

Salas bet another 90,000 on the J turn, putting each chip in one at a time. Zeng played with her stack for a few minutes but eventually surrendered the pot to the 2020 Main Event champion.
