Big Stack Shift

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Raoul Kanme
Raoul Kanme

Action was picked up with the board completely laid out with 223810 and around 500,000 in the middle.

Alvaro Puchol in early position checked to Raoul Kanme in the cutoff, who went all in for 405,000. Puchol needed some time to think about this decision; even though he wasn't at risk, he had a lot to lose. In the end, he made the call, and the cards went on their way back.

Kanme showed AA for two pairs, aces and deuces. As it was an all-in situation, Puchol was forced to show his cards, and he tabled AK for ace high.

Safiya Umerova: AK

Umerova was in great shape with a dominating ace and she remained ahead on the 410284 runout to send Nachman to the rail and recoup some of the chips she had lost earlier this level.

Poroliev Has Snyder Talking to Himself

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ivan Poroliev
Ivan Poroliev

Around 350,000 was in the pot as Ivan Poroliev and Steven Snyder saw the turn on a board of 8792. Poroliev then bet 150,000 from under the gun and Snyder called in early position.

The river was the 10 and Poroliev moved all in for 465,000. "This is so sick. I'm supposed to call," Snyder said.

Snyder spent several minutes muttering to himself as he considered the decision, but he eventually ended up folding. He then grabbed Poroliev's cards and pretended to look at one, hoping that Poroliev would oblige, but Poroliev returned them face down.

2005 Main Event finalist Scott Lazar was recently eliminated on another table. "Queens against kings. Oh well. Better luck next year," Lazar said as he made his exit.

Lynskey and Studniarz Split a Piece of Rohm's Blowup

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

David Rohm raised to 20,000 in the hijack and Alex Lynskey defended from the big blind. The flop came Q62 and both players checked to the J on the turn.

Lynskey led out with a bet of 45,000 and Rohm quickly called to see the 5 on the river. Lynskey splashed in another bet of 65,000 and Rohm snapped him off. Lynskey turned over Q9 for top pair and Rohm conceded the pot.

At this point, the dealer looked around for what to do next, and nearly burned and turned an ocean card before she was stopped by the players. The pot finally got pushed to Lynskey and the next hand started.

Rohm raised to 20,000 again and Sylwia Studniarz three-bet to 60,000 on his left. The action folded back to Rohm who four-bet jammed all in for 271,000. Studniarz asked for a count and then called to put Rohm at risk.

Sylwia Studniarz: A9

The flop came AJ7 to give both players a pair but it was Studniarz in the lead with a pair of aces. The 6 and 2 runout changed nothing and Rohm was eliminated with $20,000 to show for it.

Baggett Picks Up a Huge Pot

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On a pot of around 200,000 and a board of 8695, Jean Lhuillier bet 75,000 and got called by Dakota Baggett in early position.

When the river 5 fell, Baggett didn't waste any time in shoving all-in for around 320,000 sending Lhuillier to the tank. Lhuillier asked for a count then stared directly at Baggett for sometime.

He counted his chips and picked up 350,000 looking like he would make the call. He finally put the chips back to his stack and folded conceding the huge pot to Baggett.

Ishibashi Turns Up the Heat, Forces a Fold from Speak

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Dai Ishibashi opened from the cutoff and was met with a three-bet to 53,000 from Ryan Speak on the button. With action back on him, Ishibashi didn’t shy away, he responded with a four-bet to 185,000.

After a brief pause, Speak made the call, and the two saw a flop of 6JJ.

Ishibashi kept the pressure on with a bet of 80,000, and Speak came along with a call.

When the 4 hit the turn, Ishibashi reached for chips again and fired 130,000. That final barrel proved too much for Speak, who gave up his hand, sending the pot to Ishibashi.
