Wysotchanski Takes Four-Bet Pot

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Wagner Wysotchanski
Wagner Wysotchanski

Mark Shutley was first to act and raised to 85,000 with 87. Wagner Wysotchanski three-bet to 250,000 in late position with AQ, which Lautaro Guerra bumped up to 575,000 on the button, holding A10.

Wysotchanski called to the 865 flop, which he checked to Guerra. Guerra checked back, leading to the 5 turn hitting the felt.

Wysotchanski took the initiative with a bet of 225,000, which was enough to win the pot as Guerra quickly released his cards to the dealer.

Start-of-Day Chip Leader Lam Falls to a Massive Cooler

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Harold Lam
Harold Lam

Harold Lam bet 115,000 from early position on a flop of 108Q and Alen Tenorio raised to 355,000 in the big blind. Lam then reraised to 1,000,000, Tenorio moved all in, and Lam snap-called for his last 1,800,000.

Harold Lam: 1010 All in
Alen Tenorio: J9

Lam had flopped a set, but Tenorio had a straight and left Lam needing the board to pair to stay alive. The A turn gave Lam additional outs to a flush, but he missed the 2 river and the start-of-day chip leader was sent to the rail.

Montes & Merson Chop Up Touitou's Stack

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Steven Touitou
Steven Touitou

Steven Touito, Santiago Montes and Greg Merson just got all of their chips in the middle in a three-way all-in. Montes had the biggest stack and had the chance to bust two players, while Touitou was the shortest stack with the opportunity to triple up.

Steven Touitou: JJ All in
Greg Merson: AK All in
Santiago Montes: AK

It was a great spot for Touitou as Merson and Montes both had the same hand, removing some of the cards they needed to win.

The dealer put out a flop of 596, keeping Touitou's jacks in front. The 6 turn meant only a king or ace on the river would end his tournament. The dealer burned a card and then peeled off the K on the river, producing a groan from the table. Touitou was out, while Merson and Montes fist-bumped across the table as they chopped up Touitou's chips.

Jason Mann shoved for 140,000 from the button and Chih Fan called with a covering stack from the big blind to put him at risk.

Jason Mann: KJ All in
Chih Fan: A9

The 2A956 runout left Mann drawing dead by the turn and he was sent to the rail while Fan dragged in the last of his chips.

Kasic Wins Battle of Aces

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Sejo Kasic
Sejo Kasic

Mark Shutley raised his button to 85,000. Sejo Kasic called in the small blind before Tony Gregg piled in 360,000 chips in the big blind.

Shutley moved out of the way with A6, but Kasic wanted to see a flop and called. Kasic check-called Gregg's bet of 150,000 on the 6KA flop, and did so too when Gregg sized up to 350,000 on the 5 turn.

The 9 river was quickly checked to showdown, where Kasic's A7 outkicked Gregg's A2 to win the sizable pot.

Eychenne Takes No Prisoners

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Thomas Eychenne
Thomas Eychenne

From early position, William Pengelly opened to 80,000 and was three-bet to 280,000 by Thomas Eychenne in the next seat. Oliver Entine then four-bet to 1,380,000, leaving himself just 40,000 behind. Action folded back to Pengelly, who went deep into the tank before ultimately folding.

Eychenne rechecked his cards and called, mistakenly thinking Entine was already all in. He tabled pocket aces prematurely, then quickly apologized to the dealer and Entine upon realizing his mistake.

The dealer spread the flop of 26J, prompting Entine to joke, “I have one big blind, please let me keep it?” But Eychenne put him all in, and Entine made the call.

Oliver Entine: QQ All in
Thomas Eychenne: AA

Entine needed to find a queen to crack the aces of Eychenne and remain in the tournament. The 4 turn and 8 river didn't help Entine, and all of his chips were sent over to Eychenne.

What Are the Odds of That?

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Nate Silver
Nate Silver

Nate Silver raised it up on the button and Daniele Primerano called from the big blind. The flop came Q95 and Primerano check-called bets from Silver on the flop as well as the 7 turn which created a pot of 1,300,000.

The river was the 4 and Primerano checked one more time. Silver pushed all in for 1,090,000 and Primerano asked for a count. After thinking for a couple of minutes, Primerano looked him up. Silver turned over KJ for a missed combo draw while Primerano held KQ for top pair.

Blom Busts Main Event

Viktor Blom
Viktor Blom

Tony Gregg was in the hijack when he raised to 80,000. Viktor Blom then put in his stack of 905,000 from the hijack, which Gregg called after careful consideration.

Viktor Blom: 88 All in
Tony Gregg: AQ

Gregg paired his ace on the KAK flop, leaving Blom with two outs in the deck. Neither the J turn nor the 2 river could save Blom, who said his goodbyes from the feature table before leaving the tournament area.

Buckingham Picks Off Vecino; Wins a Monster Off DiMascio

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Richard Buckingham and Juan Carlos Vecino checked to the turn on a board of KQ26 in a blind versus blind battle before Buckingham led out for 150,000. Vecino called and the 2 fell on the river.

Buckingham then bet 200,000, but this time Vecino raised to 500,000. "I have a good hand," Buckingham said as he took a few minutes before calling.

Vecino showed AQ for top pair, but Buckingham had Q6 for queens and sixes to win the pot.

The hand before, Buckingham had taken out Paul DiMascio in a massive pot and filled in the details. DiMascio had opened to 85,000 from early position and Buckingham defended his big blind.

The flop brought 4x3x2x and DiMascio continued for 160,000. Buckingham called and a 5x fell on the turn. DiMascio then moved all in for 1,800,000.

"I couldn't believe he did it. I feel bad for him, because I know he has the ace," Buckingham explained, saying he called with 6x4x for a straight while DiMascio had Ax9x and was sent to the rail.

Alan Mehamed

Michael Mizrachi opened to 85,000 from early position, Yves Hallague three-bet shoved for 530,000 from the cutoff and Alan Mehamed called with his stack of 390,000 from the small blind. Mizrachi called, covering both players.

Alan Mehamed: AQ All in
Yves Hallague: 1010 All in
Michael Mizrachi: AK

Hallague was in great shape to triple up on the 75J flop but Mehamed took the lead with top pair on the Q turn. He remained ahead on the 9 river to triple up while Hallague was left with just seven big blinds.
