Kassouf Wants to Play a Game

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Will Kassouf made it 100,000 with K♠J♠ from early position and Jay Nguyen called in the cutoff with A♣9♣.

They saw a flop of 4♥7♠K♣ where Nguyen checked and Kassouf bet 150,000.

For the last five minutes, Kassouf has been trying to persuade the table to play the 'show one' game, where anybody that wins a pot must show at least one card.

"If you fold, I'll show you one. If you fold and show me both, I'll show you both, that's the deal. I'm a gentleman," said Kassouf. "I'm a man of my word,".

Nguyen eventually folded face down, and Kassouf showed one card.

"Say please and I'll show you the second one. Say 'please Will' and I'll show you the second one," added Kassouf.

"Please, Will," asked Nguyen nicely.

Kassouf then flipped over his second card as he pulled in the pot.

"Very nice," were Nguyen's final words.

Michael Mizrachi opened to 85,000 from early position, Yves Hallague three-bet shoved for 530,000 from the cutoff and Alan Mehamed called with his stack of 390,000 from the small blind. Mizrachi called, covering both players.

Hallague was in great shape to triple up on the 7♥5♠J♥ flop but Mehamed took the lead with top pair on the Q♣ turn. He remained ahead on the 9♥ river to triple up while Hallague was left with just seven big blinds.

Buckingham Picks Off Vecino; Wins a Monster Off DiMascio

Richard Buckingham and Juan Carlos Vecino checked to the turn on a board of K♣Q♠2♥6♣ in a blind versus blind battle before Buckingham led out for 150,000. Vecino called and the 2♦ fell on the river.

Buckingham then bet 200,000, but this time Vecino raised to 500,000. "I have a good hand," Buckingham said as he took a few minutes before calling.

Vecino showed A♠Q♣ for top pair, but Buckingham had Q♥6♥ for queens and sixes to win the pot.

The hand before, Buckingham had taken out Paul DiMascio in a massive pot and filled in the details. DiMascio had opened to 85,000 from early position and Buckingham defended his big blind.

The flop brought 4x3x2x and DiMascio continued for 160,000. Buckingham called and a 5x fell on the turn. DiMascio then moved all in for 1,800,000.

"I couldn't believe he did it. I feel bad for him, because I know he has the ace," Buckingham explained, saying he called with 6x4x for a straight while DiMascio had Ax9x and was sent to the rail.

Tony Gregg was in the hijack when he raised to 80,000. Viktor Blom then put in his stack of 905,000 from the hijack, which Gregg called after careful consideration.

Gregg paired his ace on the K♣A♣K♦ flop, leaving Blom with two outs in the deck. Neither the J♣ turn nor the 2♦ river could save Blom, who said his goodbyes from the feature table before leaving the tournament area.

Nate Silver raised it up on the button and Daniele Primerano called from the big blind. The flop came Q♦9♦5♥ and Primerano check-called bets from Silver on the flop as well as the 7♥ turn which created a pot of 1,300,000.

The river was the 4♣ and Primerano checked one more time. Silver pushed all in for 1,090,000 and Primerano asked for a count. After thinking for a couple of minutes, Primerano looked him up. Silver turned over K♦J♦ for a missed combo draw while Primerano held K♥Q♠ for top pair.

Eychenne Takes No Prisoners

From early position, William Pengelly opened to 80,000 and was three-bet to 280,000 by Thomas Eychenne in the next seat. Oliver Entine then four-bet to 1,380,000, leaving himself just 40,000 behind. Action folded back to Pengelly, who went deep into the tank before ultimately folding.

Eychenne rechecked his cards and called, mistakenly thinking Entine was already all in. He tabled pocket aces prematurely, then quickly apologized to the dealer and Entine upon realizing his mistake.

The dealer spread the flop of 2♠6♦J♣, prompting Entine to joke, “I have one big blind, please let me keep it?” But Eychenne put him all in, and Entine made the call.

Entine needed to find a queen to crack the aces of Eychenne and remain in the tournament. The 4♦ turn and 8♥ river didn't help Entine, and all of his chips were sent over to Eychenne.

Kasic Wins Battle of Aces

Mark Shutley raised his button to 85,000. Sejo Kasic called in the small blind before Tony Gregg piled in 360,000 chips in the big blind.

Shutley moved out of the way with A♠6♥, but Kasic wanted to see a flop and called. Kasic check-called Gregg's bet of 150,000 on the 6♠K♥A♦ flop, and did so too when Gregg sized up to 350,000 on the 5♥ turn.

The 9♣ river was quickly checked to showdown, where Kasic's A♣7♣ outkicked Gregg's A♥2♠ to win the sizable pot.

Montes & Merson Chop Up Touitou's Stack

Steven Touito, Santiago Montes and Greg Merson just got all of their chips in the middle in a three-way all-in. Montes had the biggest stack and had the chance to bust two players, while Touitou was the shortest stack with the opportunity to triple up.

It was a great spot for Touitou as Merson and Montes both had the same hand, removing some of the cards they needed to win.

The dealer put out a flop of 5♣9♥6♠, keeping Touitou's jacks in front. The 6♥ turn meant only a king or ace on the river would end his tournament. The dealer burned a card and then peeled off the K♠ on the river, producing a groan from the table. Touitou was out, while Merson and Montes fist-bumped across the table as they chopped up Touitou's chips.
