Cheong Eliminated by Holtzman

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

The camera crew rushed by when a short-stacked Joseph Cheong pushed all in from the cutoff for his last 180,000 and was called by Guy Holtzman in the big blind.

Joseph Cheong: 54 All in
Guy Holtzman: QJ

The JJ5 flop left Cheong needing a miracle to survive as he needed running fives for quads. He had already grabbed up his belongings and was gone by the time the turn showed 9 to make the 4 river a formality. Holtzman had extended his fist for a bump but was left hanging as Cheong had already reached the ropes of the tournament area on his way out.

Morris Bows Out on a Table Full of Big Stacks

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Alberto Destrade opened to 55,000 in middle position and Meerwais Hussaini three-bet to 140,000 in the hijack. Stephanie Morris flat-called on the button and Destrade came along as well.

The flop came Q86 and Hussaini continued with a bet of 160,000. Morris raised to 400,000 which got Destrade to fold but Hussaini ripped all in for 1,075,000. Morris had a decision to make for the extra 460,000 in front of her and she gave it some thought for nearly three minutes before calling.

Stephanie Morris: KKAll in
Meerwais Hussaini: QQ

"I thought that's what you had," Morris said realizing she was down to just two outs. The 3 on the turn and the J on the river was not going to save her as Morris headed to collect her payout.

Gardes Makes Montes Think

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Josselin Gardes raised from early position with KJ to 50,000 and Santiago Montes called in the cutoff holding Q10.

They saw a flop of JQK, where Gardes continued with a bet of 50,000 and Montes called to see the 4 hit the turn. Gardes didn't slow down and threw out 130,000, and again Montes called.

The 6 on the river was a brick, and with 315,000 behind, Gardes shoved with his two pair. Montes contemplated for a while and even apologized to the table for taking so long.

"Sorry guys, just one minute more,", he said, but eventually mucked his hand, allowing Gardes to rake in the pot.

Jakubowicz Calls Down Kassouf

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Heads-up on a flop of 92Q, Will Kassouf bet 95,000 from early position and Sam Jakubowicz called in the big blind.

Both players checked the 8 turn. Kassouf then bet 200,000 on the J river and Jakubowicz again called.

Jakubowicz showed Q3 for top pair and Kassouf mucked. "You had one overcard. I had a pocket pair, obviously," Kassouf said.

Chidwick Bluffs Off Some Chips

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Alessandro Predaroli was in the cutoff, raising to 55,000. Stephen Chidwick sat in the big blind and tossed in a call.

Predaroli bet 50,000 on the A102 flop, which Chidwick check-raised to 215,000. Predaroli called, releasing the K turn from the deck. Chidwick slowed down and checked, with Predaroli checking behind.

The 6 river then completed the board. Chidwick loaded 145,000 chips into his barrel and fired them at Predaroli, who quickly called. Chidwick could only show five-high with 53, leaving Predaroli to take the pot with A8.

Chen Caught Making a Big Move Against Chong

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Yuchen Chen
Yuchen Chen

Three players limped in as action went on Bryan Chen in the small blind. He raised to 130,000 and Kang Chong reraised to 300,000 under the gun. The table folded back around to Chen who moved all in for 770,000, and Chong called.

Bryan Chen: KJ All in
Kang Chong: AQ

The K in the window was a welcome sight for Chen, but it was followed by A5 as Chong hit top pair. The A turn improved Chong to trips, and Chen was already drawing dead by the 8 river and on his way to the exit.

"Gamble, gamble," Chong said as he raked in the pot.

Tyler Hirschfeld raised from under the gun to 50,000. It folded all the way to the big blind of James Minghini, who called to send them to a flop.

Minghini showed 107 for a flopped pair of tens. Hirschfeld folded without showing, awarding the pot to Minghini.

D'Ursel D'One for the Day

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Thomas Boivin raised to 50,000 in early position. Igor D'Ursel defended in the big blind, after which he virtually moved all in for 155,000 on the 457 flop. Boivin put in the rest of the chips, and D'Ursel called off.

Igor D'Ursel: K7 All in
Thomas Boivin: 1010

The 5 turn brought a straight draw on the board, but the A river changed nothing, eliminating D'Ursel from the feature table.
