Safiya Umerova made it 180,000 from under the gun, leaving herself just 15,000 behind. Jonathan Azoulay was in the small blind and called.
On the K♥J♦9♦ flop, Azoulay checked, Umerova bet 15,000, and Azoulay called.

Umerova was live to a queen, ten, or a three, but didn't find any of them on the J♥ turn. No help arrived on the 6♥ river, and Umerova made her way to the exit.
Matthew Lubawski got the last of 200,000 or so chips into the middle preflop against Leon Sturm. Once the remainder of the table folded, the cards were turned over.

Lubawski needed to connect with the board if he was to stay in the Main Event. However, Sturm's ace-high remained best on the 2♥6♥6♦2♦7♦ runout, and Lubawski headed to the payout desk.
Under the gun, Mark Shutley raised to 85,000. Tony Gregg three-bet to 225,000 two seats over, and Shutley called when the action folded back to him.
The 5♠4♠7♥ flop saw Shutley check-call the 185,000 chips Gregg splashed in the middle.
The 4♦ turn was checked by both players, seeing the 2♦ arrive on the river. Shutley piled in a bet of 300,000, which Gregg quickly called. Shutley revealed 7♠7♦ for a flopped set, leaving Gregg's hero-call with A♠Q♥ in the dust.
Gregor Sverko raised with A♥4♥ in middle position to 80,000 and Jonathan Azoulay three-bet J♦10♦ from the small blind to 230,000. When it got back to Sverko, he called.
The pair saw a flop of 5♦J♥7♥, which connected with both of them as Sverko picked up a flush draw and Azoulay made top pair. Sverko checked, Azoulay bet 250,000, and Sverko check-raised to 600,000.
Azoulay did some inventory of his stack and with around 4,000,000 behind, he eventually folded the best hand.
Two hands after dinner break sent Sebastian Schulze shooting up the chip counts, as he dueled against Michael Hawker in back-to-back hands that neither player is likely to forget any time soon.
The first hand was picked up on the river on a board that read 4♥4♠A♠9♠5♠ with over one million in chips already in the pot.
Schulze fired a bet before Hawker announced all-in over the top. Schulze quickly called to be at risk for 1,785,000.
"You don't have aces, do you?" Hawker asked as he rolled over a full house with 9♥9♣.
"Yes," Schulze replied and showed A♣A♦ to take down a massive pot.
Hawker stood up in disbelief as he paced away from the table in shock, but was still left with a stack of over 3,500,000 in chips to play with.
The second hand took place immediately after the events of the first.
Schulze opened the action with a raise to 85,000 from the cutoff and was called by Hawker in the small blind.
Hawker checked the 7♣8♣5♣ flop before Schulze fired 90,000. Hawker called to see a turn.
The 9♦ turn led to a bet of 210,000 from Hawker before Schulze raised it to 700,000. The chips had hardly been pushed toward the middle when Hawker announced all-in. Schulze quickly called to put Hawker at risk.
"You didn't flop a flush, did you?" Hawker asked.
Hawker showed a straight with K♥6♠ before Schulze showed him the bad news when he revealed J♣9♣.
The meaningless J♠ hit the river as Hawker grappled with the sequence of two hands that derailed his main event.
"Oh my god, I can't believe it," he said as he got up from the table.
As Schulze scooped the pot, Guy Leathley, a player sitting to his right, asked him jokingly, "What did you have for dinner, buddy?" said Leathley.
"Chicken teriyaki," Schulze replied.
Dai Ishibashi was all in for 420,000 against Isaac Haxton.

Ishibashi was dominated but both players made pairs on the A♣K♠10♥ flop and the K♣ turn gave Ishibashi the lead before the 4♦ river bricked off to earn him a double.
At the next table, Sebastian Schulze appears to have the chip lead with a stack of 10,000,000.
The action started with an under-the-gun raise by Ryuta Nakai and Thomas Eychenne on the button made it 260,000 to go. Nakai then four-bet big to 950,000 and that sent Eychenne into a very long tank. While the pay jump approached, Eychenne was thinking for more than eight minutes until a player at the table called the clock while he had been visibly agonising the spot during the entire tank.
With three seconds remaining on his thirty-second countdown, Eychenne moved all-in and Nakai called with the covering stack.

The flip went to Eychenne thanks to the J♣8♠4♦5♦7♠ board and he doubled for massive 2,420,000 to join the chip leaders in the penultimate level of the day.
"I wasn't tanking for the pay jump, I was really thinking about the spot," Eychenne assured after all was done.
Benjamin Winsor raised his button to 80,000, and Hans Bosman responded with a three-bet to 245,000 from the small blind. Winsor complied with a call, after which both players checked the A♠Q♥J♠ flop.
The K♠ came on the turn. Bosman checked again before he called a bet of 160,000 by Winsor. The 5♥ river checked to showdown, where Bosman tabled A♣4♦ for top pair.
Winsor showed down K♥Q♦ for two pair, however, and dragged the sizable pot to overtake Bosman in the counts.
Andrew Hedley made it 80,000 to go in the hijack. Small blind Mark Shutley three-bet enough to cover Hedley, and Hedley snap-called for his stack of 550,000.
